I can see my logo 500 3D under the tree, and I wanted to know if an AR6200 would be OK to use on it for a while. I will eventually get a 7000, but just want to get it running.

Scorpion 1100kv motor with 15t pinion, LP 6s 5000 packs, 9254/401 for now, 9451's on cyclic, (AR6200), RT 550(560?), and Im not sure what ESC to use on this.

Does it come with any pinions?

I ran mine with a 6200 for 2 flights after setup. The 7000 was on the way and I immediately switched it out. I would set it up with it, order a 7000 and FLY with only the 7000.......Ron

No pinions are included with the kit. As far as ESC's the popular ones seem to be the CC HV85, Jazz 80, or one of the new Powerjazz or Jives. The last 2 can be a little pricey.

I don't think a 60amp is enough. On the Scorpion I think you need the 90amp version. The 60amp ESC's are usually for the Logo 400/Protos/Trex 500 size helis.

Jazz 80-06-18 with heatsink if you can stretch to the price.

90 amp minimum if you go for scorpion.

Rotortech blades are the perfect choice. Either size will work well.

Yeah...what kind of amp draw are people seeing with this motor on 15/16t pinion? Spikes?

Just get the 7000 in the first place. Don't rip your 6200 off your 500 just so you can fly it sooner. ALSO, I really would not recommend going with the Scorpion escs. It seems like setup is really a pain. If you can't pony up the money for the Jive, get the HV 85. Really easy to setup through the computer.

I have flown mine with the Align 100amp ESC with no problems. I have about 20 flights with this setup and everything comes down nice and cool... Soft start seems to work pretty well too...

The only time I had a problem with the Align ESC was when I used the GOV mode on my Protos (Align 60) and it caused a violent tail wag when it was in GOV mode. I don't know if the larger ones have the same problem or not......Ron

I was just using a curve 100-95-100 in idle up 1 and 100-100-100 in idle up 2... 16t pinion

No tail wag or ill effects. I also have the 60amp esc in my protos and it works great. Same curves as well on the 15t pinion...

PPRC 30C packs in both. Very reliable and powerfull helis!!

Yeah I must say that the wag went away when I switched off the GOV mode and went to throttle curves......Ron

It's an electric. Why do you need 7 channels?
