It's a transmitter stand. Allows you to stand the Tx upright.

Remember, the Tx is the one connection to EVERY model you fly.

And you will use the Tx for many years over many models.

I always recommend getting the best Tx you can afford, and even stretch a bit to get the better one. It will mean you won't be buying another one as soon because you need that one extra feature.

I really like my X9303.

One more thing. I'm thinking about getting into a little Aerial Photography in the future. Are the extra channels going to be a must later?

Maybe not a "must" but certainly very helpful. It will obviously depend on your setup with your Gov/Gyro but if you use both then you'll be out of channels for firing a shutter unless you get a 9Ch.

You'll be getting out of bed at night just to turn it on and mess with it

The x9303 does not have a backlit display. You can do a mod to give it one though. This is the best thread I've found on the matter.

I think this would void your warrenty though. Sure does look great though.

Have you received your 9303 yet? You will love it. I used the dx7 and then got a 9303 and in my opinion it is a night and day difference. I should have bought the 9303 a long time ago.

Nope, Haven't gotten it yet. Well, it may have been delivered already. but unfortunetely I'm deployed and won't be able to play with it for another 50 days or so once I get home. The anticipation grows....

I got a DSX9 (X9303) first and then later a DX7. Don't like it - I am so spoiled by the programming and roller mouse on the DSX9 that I am totally impatient with any other system.

May your 50 days go SPECTRUM FAST!

It shall go by fast! About 40 days before I actually leave this dump, then about 10 more to get back to the states. Mil-air takes a bit longer then commercial airlines. I will let you all know what I think about the 9303 from my vast experience of other products, lol. (My first radio) With all this time on my hands before I leave though, I'm now thinking of picking up a 1/8th scale buggy. Either I like R/C alot, or I am really bored and should stop playing on the internet.
