Also many times an O2 code is really a loose or defective gas cap! Screw it on till it clicks sveral times. A bad cap will give you a bad O2 sensor code.

FWIW...

Autozone or for that matter, most auto parts stores will have a code reader that you can borrow to bring out to your car. You can then check the codes or clear them.

How about trying to most simple check?? Make sure your gas cap is on nice and tight. On most cars 2002 and newer a loose gas cap or one not quite tight will cause that same light. The oring on the cap gets flat spots and lets air out of the tank causing the light. I've replaced 3 caps on my 2002 Chrysler 300M and I'm on number 2 on my wife's 2007 Chrysler Town and Country.

Also, as most people have said on here, go to Autozone or Checker and get the reader and just reset it. A lot of older VW's are the same way with the O2 sensor or Cat Sensor, but they have a reset lever on the instrument cluster. You just have to tear the dash apart to get the cluster out to reset it.

Also, on most Dodge, Jeep, Chryslers from the late 80's to mid 90's, you can turn the ignition on and off about 7 times real fast and it will reset the computers.

Yea, they are the last Chryslers we will ever own. I honestly don't know why their gas cap orings don't last, but they don't last very long.

Chrysler may not last very long! This is why I buy Toyota. More expensive but you get what you pay for.

Okay, Didnt get a chance to do some work on the car. Am running around doing honey buy me X-mas list. I have however check tank cap. Its create a vacuum, i found out when i put gas on it today as am fixing to use it going to Ft. Lauderdale tom. for family get together. As i open the cap i hear a sucking sound from the tank. This tells me that the cap is tight and sealed. All the guages normal, no other warning lights illuminated except the check engine light. I talk to my brother in Lauderdale and he offers to buy it from me as is for 5000. I told him about the check engine lights but that he said doesnt matter as long as it gets to him fine. The travel is 5-6 hours i just hope i make it there fine..No worries here we are 5 cars convoy.

Dave, thanks bro. If my brother decide not to take it i'll take you up on the scanner.

I hate SES lights! There are like 4000 reason to set code. What I do is remove the fuse called PCM for a few min, reinstall then drive to shop for Inspection, it pass every time! My EVAP canister is missing, it fell off and those thing cost too much money to replace for what they're.
