i made a fibreglass fuselage, i ran the ariel inside and there did seem to be some twitching on the servos when it got a bout 50 yards away. ive since bought 2.4 spektrum but wouldnt advise putting the ariel inside again.

Not a great idea, especially if you are using a belt drive. The belt generates static electricity, and this will cause radio interference.

On my MD500, before I switched to 2.4, I ran mine out the scale exhaust hole, and tied it to the tail skid with a small piece of rubber band. Worked great. Something similar should work for your TwinStar.

I run the Rx antenna in some plastic tube inside the tail and have had no problems.

I have also ran it round the inside of the fuselage in a loop (also within a plastic tube) before on the Vario EC135, was using PCM and no issues either.

The Graupner A109 instruction show the antenna running through a plastic tube looped around the inside of the fuselage. I have done this without any problems.

Oh **** ! this is going to be expensive?
