Hi Guys,

OK, after alot of thought and research I am going for the DS760, especially now I know there will be a program card / screen for it sometime next year. But which servo are you guys running with it? My first choice would be the DS8900 but any other thoughts?

Angelos has an interesting write up on his website.

He also had a similiar write up here on RR but I am having
a difficult time locating it.

I am using the BLS251. It works well but I would have to say it
does not work any better then a 9254.

I'll get a BLS251 over a 9254 any time, any day.

Its not about performance, its about reliability. I already killed 3 9254. They seem to go beserk after around 180-200 flights. The BLS251 is on this mark right now and no problems (yet).

I doubt you will find someone able to comment about the performance of any one of the mentioned servos. When you hit the 0.06 sec mark, they all perform well. You need to focus on life span, reliability, power consumption and price.

In that case, the price and power consumption are not an issue, 10 bucks price difference and I'm using twin regs from 12s on an E700.

I have an 8900 but I have not flown it much or hard like a lot of you guys do, so if life span and reliability are the 2 main factors, which one is your choice?

mine is the bls251 but only for one single reason... I'm used to futaba gear

I heard good things about the 8900 but never tested it myself. Maybe someone with personal experience can chime in about it.

Servo

I personally prefer the futabas for tail myself....9251/9256/bls251

I have tried the 8900g and didn't like it as much...but a lot of people seem to think they work just fine..

I guess if you can get a good deal on either servo that's all that matters...

I'm going with the 251 as it will run at 506 HZ and the 8900 won't, not that I will ever notice the difference.
