How can you justify that your Carb-Smart sensor is working in the right order and is out of any defects. I know that when the CSM sensor fails, the servo positions it self to a failsafe mode, just as in when you unplug the sensor wire.
If you pull the sensor wire and the servo moves down to its fail safe mode then that means the sensor is acting up right good.
Apart this, is their any other way to tell if the sensor is working fine??
Your updates will be appreciated.

Quick check is that it pulls to full lean on start up. Then go fly hard and make sure that it richens the motor properly

You could warm the sensor while watching the servo , or just measure the resistance of the sensor . It's nominally 100K , but drops rapidly with increase in temperature .

At the end of the day , it gets dark .

If it pulls full lean before you start, it is working.
What are you trying to accomplish?

Are you 100 % sure that, if it pulls of to a full lean position at start. The sensor is working up right fine?

I am, I've had enough sensors fail to know. If the sensor has failed the sensor led won't come on either as the Carbsmart checks the sensor at switch-on. You could also use a heat gun on the sensor to see if the servo moves, I do this before fitting the sensor as I've already had to dig a couple of sensors out.

CSM have a new sensor out now which has the surface mount thermistor mounted on a miniature PCB, this is the best so far and has continued to work long after the original sensor has failed.

Might sound stupid but try this.
Take out the sensor plug and touch the sensor terminal with your wet fingure, the sensor light will led on with a change in servo's lean position.

I will do a flight today and see if the servo changes it's position as it must as i've set the needle to 1 1/2 T just for a check.
