I do understand what you mean by "you zoomed in about 4%" right now.
I viewed the original image at full(actual without any digital zoom) size and then the cropped one right next to each other and the cropped one I posted looks a bit bigger!!!(digitally zoomed in) than the original size. This is unintentional... My bad!.. I unintentionally misled you. Sorry...
I tried to crop the image at full size without using any digital zoom so people can see the portion of the image(pavilion in this case) image at full size. Because I knew RR image processing would downsize the original image and you guys wouldn't understand what I was talking about. The original image is around 4MB so there was no way to upload it as is. That's why I cropped it. But apparently while cropping it something happened and unintentionally some digital zoomed dialed in.
The original image is lot bigger than what you see in my post. When viewed (with the best fit to your screen option) it looks sharp but when you view the actual size, it is NOT and I was trying to see if there is any improvements that can be made.
I just found the "Safety-shift" and it is set to OFF. So that means that the actual shutter speed was indeed 1/1000 I assume.

DigitalGuy(George),

Looks like Tony gave you what you need. Thanks for that Tony.

Well if the pictures is okay to you guys and then maybe this is what this camera is capable for. Now I will focus on some ground shots with similar conditions and I will see how they looks. If I get the same quality, it means it is either I am doing something wrong or this is the limits of this camera...

Do you guys know any website to upload the original without getting downsized?

If you have web access you should have free web space you can use. Call your ISP. You will then controll :-)

You should be right. I have been with the same provider for over 6 years. I know I have an email account with them which I never use(don't want to get stuck with them incase I leave one day) however, I could really use some free webspace. Will look into it. Thanks...

iskoos - for a nominal amount, you could easily set up a website through Godaddy (etc) and have WAY more space than you'll probably ever need. Then you'll just need a FTP client. I think you can do the whole setup for $50ish/year.

You cannot expect to get much sharper pics with this camera when its that heavily cropped, its not only about shutter speeds, but also optical clarity, compacts cant be compared to dslr lenses, especially not when cropped this tight...

If you want better, youll buy a better camera

The cropped image I posted is zoomed in a bit(mistakenly). So the actual size cropped image looks a little better. And although I started realizing that P&S cameras will never be like SLR ones, I do believe that I can get better quality pictures than the ones I posted with this Canon A640. I am currently working on it... This is my first rig and it will take some time to get there. But it should be an enjoyable journey...

I will post better pictures from the same field. Hopefully this weekend...

P.S. Cropped image is fixed. It is now showing the actual size without digitally zoomed in.
