They are probably waiting for JR to identify the exact problem (in conjunction with Horizon etc).

Once they have the technical reason for it happening, then a fix will be instigated.

we have told them the problem and acording to the memo from mc greggor that modtron posted on the other post regarding the condensation, they have recreated the problem and where apparently sending two set off to jr to be examinded. the rest of that memo indirectly tried to place the blame on the owners despite mc greggor not knowing the true cause!
Once they have the technical reason for it happening, then a fix will be instigated.
but untill then they still wont let us know if there is any progress? and continue to sell goods despite the fact they know there is a fault?

i can garrentee that its not the climate in our neck of the woods.
the only diffrence is we are aprox 120 meters above sea level.
apart from that it doesnt matter if the preassure is 999mb or 1031 mb
,it doesnt matter if it was 14 deg C or 24 deg C
windy cloudy sunny it didnt make any diffrence.
and it wasnt just our neck of the woods its heppened in the philipines (as seen on you tube) and i think its also happened in florida.
but all that doesnt matter, is what does matter is the customer service!!! or the non existance of it.
A:if there are rumours to whats happening ,then why hasnt mc greggor been in touch to let us know about the the progress which would give us some satisfaction?
B: there shouldnt be any rumours, mc greggor should know the facts, seems like there not intrested in helping there customers/victims out at all.

Please, please me tell that your comment is a joke. If it isn't then we wasted all our time in explaining to them how the set mists up. It has absolutely nothing to do with climate. It's simply that there is a fault on some of the sets.

What a pity JR/MacG don't get the fact that these users are really ticked off. Nothing humourus in that!

Okay... for those of you who are the most vociferous in this matter, how many of you have either had a replacement set or your money back ?

FYI, Florida and the Philippines are not in MacGregors sales area, Has anyone shouted at Horizon about these issues ? Remember that it's NOT JUST the 9 channel..... it happens on the 7 channel system AS WELL !!

Choppie, have sent you a pm.

Not interested in 6,7,8 channel only the DSX9 not interested in replacements or refunds.
Just interested in C**P customer service, sorry lack of customer service and dealer service from JR/MacG
Or better still a product fit for purpose
Head Count so far
1 set replaced (replacement still misted)
2 set returned/ refund
2 sets outstanding awaiting findings (over six months)
And this is from my club alone and i know of others from other clubs.

i think mc greggor need to get there act together, the price of the nex dx12 is over £1600 yet they havnt fixed the problem with the dx9 or dx7? where in a ressesion and there prices have gone up? ok exchange rate ect but these tx only cost £50 to produce (anyone doubting that just look at an a laptop £300 and it has a bigger screen bigger battery, 2.4g capabilities ect ect and it works)

major stores are going bust woolworths and now zavvi. could mc greggor be next?
would probably be a good thing give another company with better customer services a chance to import and distribute the jr range and not bitch about the price to get a ce mark.

I have a JR 9X2 and my display mists up as well. I have noticed it more in the summer but it does dry out if I leave it in the sun. I keep my transmitter in a lined aluminium box

dave all the members who had this problem also kept there tx in a proper caase, some took there tx straight out of the packageing to use!
although it goes away it still inhibits the ability to read the display also think of how the moisture could effect your tx in the future. if i was you i would get a refund or replacment but thats your choice.
also goes to show that we are not alone in with this problems and shows mc greggor that this is a bigger problem than they make it out to be.
merry christmas

Dave,

Has the 9XII been reported to MacGregors ??
so is what you are sudjesting is that horizon hobbys have looked after there customers and its mc greggors fault that we are not being looked after?
What I am saying is that Horizon (do a search for it) responded with the answer
The LCD screen can build up condensation if it goes from a cool environment to a hot environment. If you have any further questions please feel free to give us a call at 1-877-504-0233
Which is exactly the same answer that was given by MacGregors, until such time as JR can find the answer.
Just interested in C**P customer service, sorry lack of customer service and dealer service from JR/MacG
Sorry.... but if the set has been replaced and is still suffering the same issue, then get your money back... simple. If you have had your money refunded, stop bloody bleating !

JR WILL come up with a solution. If you have ever worked with the Japanese, you will know that they can be slow to respond. I found this out when I used to install VideConferencing systems in Corporate & Investment Banking etc...

I am fairly sure that all these posts have been in English and not some language that nobody understands.

IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HOT OR COLD ENVIRONMENTS. WHEN WILL YOU PEOPLE LISTEN!!!

That's a very good way of smokescreening the problem and trying to explain it away. Try reading all the posts in all the topics and then comment.
