I see now that more and more options for Blade CX2 upgrades. Can anyone comment on the various options out now. I really dont expect much from this helicopter but i would like to improve it within reason. In the end i see it with a scale fuse but dont mind a little pep as well. These are some of what ive seen in upgrades just to mention a few.

Motors: Xtreme 180, Xtreme SE180, Exxtreme next gen.

Blades: Xtreme Hard, Exxtreme Durable, Exxtreme durable Race, Blade cx upgraded (stiff), Extreme glow in the dark, Extreme evolution

Skids: Ultra Flex, Exxtreme indestructable skids, Xtreme skids with sidepltes

Booms: Model 3 carbon fiber boom kit, Xtreme carbon fiber boom kit, Arrow shaft , Exxtreme boom kit

Swashplate: E-flite aluminum

Inner shafts/heads: Exxtreme extended inner shaft, Xtreme extended head with inner shaft

Outer shaft: Exxtreme extended outer shaft

Lower head: Aluminum E-flite, Exxtreme durable, Microheli

Flybar: Exxtreme short, Lighten flybars, stock with 2 links, Aluminum flybar weights

Main gear: Exxtreme main gear

Scale fuse: Which ones tend to fly good on this frame helicopter? Are some better quality or just a waist of money?

Blade grips: I didnt list these because i really dont see how they benefit the CX2 unless you buy the aftermarket blades and just need the screw type mount. The plastic versions with the screw hole seem like the best option if you go that route.

Frame: I left this out as well since i dont think this style helicopter will really benefit from it.

I know the aluminum parts look good but on a helicopter of this size and type they just arnt nessisary and the weight hurts if anything. So im just trying to figure out what actually works on this helicopter. Please met me know of your experience with the above or any parts i missed and hopefully this will help allot of us out.

Here is what I did to my CX2. 1. Xtreme 180 motors 2. Extended inner shaft(avoid blades strike when flying outdoor) 3. Aluminum Lower rotor head and swashplate 4. tail boom 5. LED lights
The stock blades are fine to me. Here is my video how it flies. Both outdoor (summer & winter) and indoor flights.

If you are intending to fly only indoors, then don't change it at all....maybe the lower rotor head upgrade

If you want to fly outside in a little wind, then I would recommend the extended inner and outer shaft and the upgraded landing gear. Also, upgrading the lower rotor head is a great idea. The extended shafts will keep the blades from hitting each other, the landing gear upgrade will never brake, and the aluminum lower rotor head is much less likely to break. Other than that, I would leave it alone.
