Ok I want to know couple things here, and please post if you truly know these questions.

Between the OS90 HZ PS FOR 3D or the OS HZ non pump engine, which is best, as I have read the PS was designed for the 3D pilots, even though I feel the OS HZ W/O pump will do just as good.
So Trully what is the benefit of PUMP or not Pumped.

I know the YS is a great motor and better price, but my heart is OS all the way.

I just edited this because I come to find out some info,
I read the thread about this exact question, and so far the testing is still going on.

So far for the type of flying I am at right now I feel the OS90 HZ- PS will do very well for me.

Question now is with the motor having a pump on it, do I still need to have header pressure going into my fuel tank as well.

Governor regulates the rpm electronically via the throttle servo. Regulator regulates the fuel flow. Two totally different things.

A gov has nothing to do with fuel delivery to the engine. It maintains engine speed by controling the throttle

Hell... I can fix that.
Uh oh..
Nope.
It's ***ked!!!

I have owned several of the engines mentioned. I have used the YS 91ST and now have the YS 91SR. I also have owned and flown the OS 91 SZ H non-pumped and the pumped version. The pumped versions were hit and miss, mine was a complete miss. The pumps were the issue on some. It remains to be seen if the HZ pumped version works well and holds up to 3D type flying, I'm sure they've improved since the SZ pumped.

The YS's run extremely well, very consistent and easy to tune. The YS 91SR makes excellent power. I have a YS 91SR in one of my Synergy's and an OS 91 HZ non-pumped in the other one. I don't have a lot of time on the YS 91SR.

The OS 91 HZ runs very, very good. It is the smoothest OS 91 I have used to date. It makes excellent power and is also easy to tune.

Right now I would highly recommend the OS 91 HZ non-pumped or the YS 91 SR. I don't think you can go wrong with either of them. The pumped version I'm sure runs good but the way I look at it is the less complicated the system/engine is, then the less to go wrong.

Even with a pumped engine you still need a governor. You are talking about two different systems, one is fuel delivery and one is engine RPM governing. You can still just run curves but a governor is very nice for 3D type flying. If you're just going to be doing mild sport flying then you could consider not running a gov and just use curves.
I would recommend the Mulit-gov governor, easy to program and works excellent.

Have fun with whatever you choose.

Sorry on the confuse on my thoughts on the gov, but I just got done reading on these two motors, and the pumped verson of the OS is looking ok along with using muffler pressure.

I getting the empression that the pumped version of the OS hz just hasent had enough test time, but is looking to be ok, I beleive both motors have their place.

From what I have read so far is more test time is needed on the OS pumped version, and YS.

We really need everyone to post info on proper set up getting the best from both motors, and so far only come accross on thread on it in this section of runryder.

The YS is well proven. I don't think there are too many running the pumped version of the HZ though.

YS 91SR/SB-19 pipe
OS 91 HZ/SB-18 or SB-20 pipe

Both excellent choices IMO.

Are you looking for needle valve settings? Engine tuning 101 should apply to all of the same class. There is only what the manual states for where to start. Then you tune it from there. There is no one-needle-fits-all recipe as many ask for.
