Got my new 500 in the air today, wow! Only problem is I can't fit the canopy on with my Outrage 6S 3000 mah Lipos. I didn't think this size was an issue. What are my options, best way to make it fit with the lease amount of modding. Thanks!

Mount the battery lower on the tray even with the rubber bumpers. Works for me

If the battery is narrower than the frames.
Remove the battery tray, redrill it lower in the frames so that the canopy will clear it.

If your battery is wider, you can do the same thing, but you will have to lower it and then cut the frames down as well.

Either way you will be good tog o.

I now know how much money this hobby is going to cost
ALL OF IT!

Same as above, I just slid the pack down a bit until it fit.

Even with doesn't work, had to go a little lower than that. Wonder what that'll do with balance???

I have had three canopies for my 500. I have noticed that they all seemed a bit tight at first. It might just be that the get stuck in the box and flattened a bit. Try sticking the battery on the helicopter and leaving the canopy on over night it might help a little bit.

It works fine when I drop the battery about 10 mm below the line of the canopy posts. Don't know how it will affect ballace at this point, but the battery fits fine.
