Hey everyone,
i am just completing the build of my new T600E that is going to be the mechanics for my new Agusta A-119 Koala fuse.

I am at the motor part right now and i need to know which pinion is best for Scale flying? I know this question has probably been asked before, but i didn't have time to go and look for it right now and i figured someone could answer the question rather quickly.

SO anyway, i really want to know what the best pinion number is to use for scale flying for the most accurate lower scale headspead and also i really want to get the most battery time i possibly can, especially since the fuse will be adding weight overall.

The stock pinion that comes with the T600E motor is a 10 tooth. So is this one good to use? or do i need to get something else?

Thanks, i really want to get this step done ASAP, so any quick replies would be greatly appreciated.

If you are using the 650L motor with 6S batt packs and want a scale head speed around 1800rpm. use a 13T pinion.

Ok and will the 13 tooth pinion give me better battery times as well as a scale headspeed, for flying scale like this? I want to make sure i am running scale headspeeds, but also getting the best battery times i can get?

To get what you want you will need another motor with a lower Kv. rating and you will need to know the largest size pinion that will work with the adjustment range that you have on the Heli.

Well right now i dont' have anymore money to spend on anything else. The motor is brand new and i will be using this Align motor for this fuse.

So that being said, with my current setup, what is the best option for me as far as (Pinions) go to get the best of both worlds?

It doesn't have to be perfect, this is my first attempt at scale and i'm sure i will improve things over time and upgrade as i get more money to put into this fuse. I just want to run the best setup for this motor i will be using now.

I currently run another T600E with the same setup of motor and ESC. i fly this heli sport/scale style. It has a pretty low headspeed already and i can get 7.5 minutes flight time with the stock 10 tooth pinion. This heli is also flown for AP and is carrying a 5.5lbs mount and i'm getting 4min flight times with headspeed around 1850. So that being said, should i be able to get a pretty descent scale headspeed at the same settings on the new heli with the fuse around it and still get around maybe 5.5 to 6 min. flight times?

Thanks by the way for your help heli 770.

Use the 13T pinion that should be the most efficient. Your flight times should be around 7 min. at least with scale flying.
