I like the idea of the 250, a small heli that I could fly almost anywhere and its extremely easy to travel with. With that said I have some questions I need answered before I decide to buy one.

1. I am thinking of going with the stock 750 gyro and align 420 tail servo or the logitech 2100 combo. Is anyone running the logitech on the 250? How does it hold? Will it even work with this heli?

2. What batteries and where is a good place to buy them? I have seen a few batteries that seem to be good for it but I either dont know where to buy them or they are sold out. What are some good dimensions for battery size for this thing?

3. I have read the thread on fixing tail problems and see that there are new parts coming out to fix this. If I end up having tail problems with mine, where will I be able to buy these parts ASAP? In general, what company has spare parts in stock for this heli already?

Thanks for the help guys, looking forward to getting one of these.

stock gyro seems to work just fine for most people. if you wait to buy this heli for a few more weeks good chance youll get the version with the tail that has no issues as they already fixed that problem. i get my battereies from skyshark rc and they are cheap and very powerful. parts are still hard to come by but i try to get them at grand rc and readyheli

1. Stock gyro and digi servo are working fine on my 250. Hard to beat the value of the super combo kit.

2. As for batteries, there are lots of good choices, but one of the most popular is the OutrageXP 3s 25C 800mAh. Hard to find, but here's a shop that will have them soon.

3. Assurance , the distributor for AlignUSA, has them and will send them to you as soon as you e-mail a request and the serial number of your 250 kit to them at rma@alignrcusa.com . Willy Pong is the man and he has been taking care of those whose kits moved through their hands.

My Super Combo came from HeliProz and was covered. Be advised that some 250 kits are in the states through other channels and for those you will have to work back through the dealer that you buy from. Don't know if these will be on sale as Align is suppling free parts for the kits already in the pipeline and equipping new kits with the revised T/R hub before they leave Taiwan.

Is the 250 for me?

Lately I have been reading more about the 250 and I'm starting to wonder if it is the right heli for me. I like the idea of a small heli that I could take anywhere, but I see more and more people saying that its more for experienced flyers. I fly a caliber 5 and I am proficient in FFF and loops, rolls, flips, some inverted hover. The 250 would be my first electric, but im wondering if its going to be "too much heli for me" in the sense of flight characteristics for a small heli. anyone have any input on this.

trex 250

I personally think the 250 is a great machine for experienced/expert pilots....might be a bit of a handful for those who are not really good....

sounds like you would be fine with it ....Collective management is the KEY to happiness with the trex 250...if your collective management is bad then the 250 is not a good machine for you...

unless of course you put a more powerful motor in it

it is so small that you need to fly it close and low...that combined with it's super agility is why it can be a handful to fly..
