So I'm going through the parts in my new 500 kit and I noticed that the main bearing blocks are the poor design like my 600N before I got the all metal blocks.

The metal spacers in the bearing blocks do not go all the way through from frame to frame. Instead they sit up against the plastic of the bearing blocks. This leads to binding when building the frames together, and poor, uneven frame alignment.

What's up with that?

I thought Align figured it out and fixed this! I know they did for the 700N, but I'm surprised to see it in my 500.

Sheesh - hope they have some all metal bearing blocks!

They make them for the 500. I have them and they are nice. No issues with alignment.

Isn't it Align's MO to produce an "upgrade" to fix the original problem and then make you pay for it ? (again ?)

well

you should have went with the 500esp then??? They are already upgraded. so Align did it right they fixed it already for now is all you have to do is buy it. Oh and it comes with servos and motor and blades so all in all you would be a fool to buy a CF combo kit for $580 when the 500eso cost $620 only smart. But the bearing block line up fine on mine and always did. are you sure you are building it correctly???? Did you put them together and check to make sure that all is straight and right? one of the most important parts of building a bird is the bearing block alignment. Its very important that you line them all up and that the main shaft just slides in with no problem at all. any ways maybe you did get a bad set but the metal bolts that go through should be flush with the bearing blocks to put them flush up against the frames.
