Thats usually fuel on your hands or that gets splashed on the transmitter. If its under warranty still they might.

http://www.futabarc.com get the contact info for hobby services and give them a call before you spend the time and money to send it off.

I called Futaba the front face is only $16 and rear cover only $8, plus about $20-$40, labor and it would look like new.

It's worth it then. It could probably use "massage" while it's there anyway.

If you want to do the work yourself you can buy just about anything for the 9C from RadioSouthRC: http://www.radiosouthrc.com/

I bought a faceplate, some switches, etc a few years back. They were very helpful and reasonably priced. They will also do the work if you want.

Actually I didnt want to send it and wait, so I bought the parts from Hobby Services. Came to $43.00 shipped. thats front, rear, and middle plates, and all new stickers for the front display and switches.
It took me 2.5 hours to do it and now it looks like new. you do have to remove all the swicthes, gimbals, etc... I mean every thing literally. If you are not a little experienced in this type of work I dont recommend it, you can easily damage the transmitter.
here are some pictures.

I still haven't replaced anything on mine. I've been keeping the parts "just in case". The radio is 4 years old and still looks like new. Sounds like I'm in for a little work if I ever do replace them though. I'd like to have a 10C so if I sell the 9C I'll just include the parts as a "premium".
