These too packs can handle the same amp draw so would they give the same power/headspeed? The reason I ask is I tested a 5000mah 30C pack on my Trex 500 and the power was amazing compared to my other 2600mah 25C packs, is that just because it is 30C or because its a bigger capacity pack or both?.... im bored!

both, as the C rating is a factor of the Ah rating. As you start heading north of 1kw, be sure you don't have a weak link elsewhere, like your connections.

The answer to your first question is yes, on paper at least.

As for why you saw different performance between the two packs you tried in your Rex500 ...

C = Capacity
Continuous discharge rating in amps is = C * modifier (i.e. 30 or 25)

so a 30C 5000mAh pack is rated at
5000 * 30 = 150,000mA = 150A

and a 25C 2600mAh pack is
2600 * 25 = 65,000mA = 65A

The answer to your second question is both but more so by the added pack size in this instance.

Ok. I wish they would make these helis so you can fit bigger packs under the canopy, with the extra power its hard to tell the difference in weight in the air. I can get 7 mins with that pack in my 500 and its not even warm after!

Perceived power is all about voltage under load. The higher C rated packs and larger capacity packs, generally speaking, can hold a higher voltage under load.

For example, let's say you are pulling 30A from either pack. If one 6S lipo holds 3.4V/cell under load and one drops to 3.1V/cell under load, the first pack would provide 612W (3.4V*30A*6 cells) while the second only provides 558W (3.1V*30A*6 cells). This represents a 54W difference or ~10% more power.
