As I have been upgrading all my ships to the new tail grip. I ran into a kundrum. The last ship was using (belive it or not) a tiger tail grip that has over two years of flying without a problem. You know the old MKI tail grip. So I pulled out the thrust bearing mod and new stuff. The install went well untill I noticed I don't have the washer for the thrust bearing stack. If you look at the exploded views in the manual it shows a washer. I did some digging in the manual and can't find the size. All my other ships have this "mystery washer" I don't dare fly with out it....
Anybody know the size. Yup I'm lazy and could just rip appart one of my other birds to measure.
input?

Sorry -it has taken a few days to get back to my workbench and change the grips out. The washer is 5.5 mm od and 4mm id. That is if it is the one between the retaining nut and the first plate in the thrust bearing. Hope this helps.

I meant to do that!!!

Washer and new grips

No problem- from what i could see the washer could probably be as large as 6.5 mm w/out causing any issues. If you guys change your tailgrips to the new ones take this note- the old grip bolt is too short for the new thicker ones. I went up 4 mm on length to get about two threads to come through the nut.

I meant to do that!!!
