I'd consider squirting some clear over it. Some of those stickers won't hold up long...
Actually those vinyl wraps hold up to nitro very well. Many manufacturers make them for the R/C cars and they are extremely durable. Nitro basically doesn't affect them at all.

I think you might be mistaken. That Aurora a few posts back isn't mine, you'd want to PM the guy for that info.

Well upgrade rc makes the best selection. You can customize them with many colors.

http://www.upgrade-rc.com

AND they make heli skins too, for several canopy styles:

Advantage of Printed Vinyl wraps

Cheaper then spray.
Easy to change designs.
Better in crashes (splits in stead of crack and chip).

Disadvantages

Don't have that nice shine as sprayed
Canopy harder to see in the air (tends to go dark)
Limited to CMYK color no Fluro.
Limited to your design, Hard to match up lines.

I like the vinyl wraps, they look good and people have to come real close to see they are vinyl.

Live life on the edge. Stand next to me when I am flying

Just a world about the support from Avant.
I bought my Aurora at Fast Lad and 2 steel balls were missing in my kit.
After one mail I got an answer in 5 minuts saying that Fast Lad has sent me one package with the missing steel balls and 2 replacement screws. Avant already knew that some parts were missing in those UK kits and they sent the package with missing parts right after the kit.
This support is totaly awesome !

I still have problem with my 250 and the fuc**** tail problems and what about the support from Align ? Nothing ....

I would recommand the Aurora without any problems ! !

i had a trex 250 but the problem is , is that there is that much power that the rudder cant hold unless you spend a hell of a lot on the gyro.

thats why i sold mine and bought a trex 500 cf combo and am going to put a gy 601 on it

I feel I can post here b/c I had both the Rex700 and an Aurora.

I had built and flown the Rex700 and loved it so much I wanted another 90. A higher end 90, even though I was very very happy with my Align, I knew they were known for being suspect in quality. While I've personally be happy with Align quality for what I pay, I really am pretty new at the RC heli hobby so my basis for comparison really is Align as a standard.

So this was my first "high end/high Quality" heli.

The build is very very involved. As I think it was Ghostrider, or someone else mentioned, if you haven't built several helis and are comfortable with more advanced setup/shimming/etc... this heli is a difficult build. That is what I found. The build is very complicated compared to the Rex700 which basically falls together if you let it. That said the quality of the machined parts and the tolerances once set up is just phenominal.

I too had missing parts. The whole head bag was missing. I had a mini meltdown when I found that out, and posted on this forum, and within minutes the Avant support Forum. I must say they handled it very very well. I was worried they wouldn't believe me, as well it's pretty dammed hard to imagine the WHOLE headbag was missing. I actually searched my hobby area for 1-2 hours thinking I MUST have placed it somewhere and overlooked it. Well they emailed me back within 30-60minutes, I can't exactely recall, but it was pretty fast. Sent a new bag out that day with my missing parts, and aside from having to wait a few days to continue the build I was back in business.

My clutch bell bearing was bad out of the box. They replaced that. Never flew the heli so not sure about the Sprague. there were a few other minor issues that I attribute to just "building a heli" that I can't recall and must not have been major.

All in all, I was so impressed, but also afraid to fly it. The build was so involved I was worried if I crashed it, aside from the cost how long would it have taken me to rebuild it????? In the end, I found someone to buy it for about what I had in it cost wise, so I sold it. I regret is somedays, but most I'm happy with my choice. If I was a better pilot I'd fly and keep it in a heartbeat. Maybe I'll get another someday. Then again, with the Vibe90SG, and Outrage 90 coming sometime in the next year or so, who knows which will be best.

I ended up buying another REX700 for my 2nd 90.

One thing you might want to be careful of is that your wife isn't ovulating b/c you can probably get her pregnant if she enters the room when you are looking at the Aurora head as it's so damm sexy .
