Hi all,

I am toying with the idea of using a Helicomand-Rigid but before i take the plunge I am interested to hear of others experiances with the unit.

I currently use Helitronix mixer with gyro on the fore-aft cyclic servo.

I am considering using the Heli-Command on my 4 blade Vario Benzin Trainer.

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks guys

Regards

I just flew mine in the 4 bladed BK117 today, video'd the helicopter and had a video on the transmiter to show the stick movements. Unfortunately the the video was done in HOR mode, with the Rigid (flybarless) mode turned off so I will have to video it again once the set up is correct. I'm very pleased with it, although some tweaking is needed as this model is a lot lighter than the Puma. Nothing drastic, slight gyro gain adjustment and a bit on the head electronics. I have got it in Rigid-fader mode now 'till I get the response as I want it, then I will set it to HOR mode.
Speak to you soon

Hi Dennis,

What make is your BK117? I was looking at the MoBB one which takes the PHT3 turbine, Unfortunatly due to the Euro exchange rate falling through the floor I have postponed buying just now.

Oh **** ! this is going to be expensive?

It's my old Schluter Champion, not expensive at all. I don't really see why people feel they have to spend fortunes to have a good looking, nice flying helicopter.

Is the Schluter body the early version of the Robbe one ? I enquired about the Robbe BK177 but they stopped production 2 years ago.

Oh **** ! this is going to be expensive?

I am using one in my Funkey Bell 406 Jet Ranger fuselage with TT Rapter 620E mechanics and an old Schluter 4-Bladed head! I works great!

Yes, it's the Robbe one in effect. Shame they stopped producing it. I am using the Schluter 4 blade head too and wooden blades. I don't know if they still do the 1.8 metre version, (mine is the 60 size one). The big version would fit a turbine I'm sure.

It's a pity, but Robbe stopped production of both BK117's.

Oh **** ! this is going to be expensive?

The Legend actually flew well for a flybarless in it's day. Had a couple of funny quirks, like forward flipping on its own when ou dropped the collective in an auto. Helicommand will help though
