FWIW,I just bought a new in box align 60 amp esc on ebay for $60.00!!

Like TJINGUY said if it's good enough for a heavy a$$ trex 500 it should work good on the protos also!

Time will tell for sure how it works but I have had great luck with my 2 in 1 align regulator on my trex 600nsp and have over 3 gallons on that.(I KNOW IT"S NOT AN ESC BUT IT'S STILL AN ALIGN PRODUCT)

Hi guys,

If I understand correctly, you need a tail/gyro stepdown for the Futaba 9257 rudder servo to use with the Jazz 80.

Does anyone have a link to a decent one?

Thanks,

Regards,
G

No you don't need one as the output voltage of the Jazz 80 is 5 volts....Ron

Oh, cool. Thanks.

What about other ESCs with an output voltage of 6? Whats a good step down?

Does anyone have any updates on the MSH ESC? Whats the output voltage on that?

Thanks,
G

Thanks guys,

Paul, is this the same type of stepdown that we use on our nitro machines? I have an extra Duralite step down that you picked for me for my 600NSP...

Thanks for clarifying.

G

Hi George

I can't remember which step down we picked!!
If it I'd still in it's packet, check the part no on the duralite site. They have a 5,2v stepdown which is for a 6v input. They also have a new one for there HV rev with a 7v input.
Hope this helps
Regard
Paul

Ps: back tomorrow afternoon

Thanks Paul.

The one I have is a 5.2 from a 6V application. So I guess its the one I need if I choose to get an ESC with a 6V output...

I've been reading and reading about electrics all day today... I wish they made 450 and 500 size Nitros... life would be much easier for me

We'll go fly when you get back.

Regards,
G
