motor heatsink?

anyone tried installing heatsinks on the motors yet?

google doesn't seem to think so from what ive found

do you think i could modify a N60 tail motor heatsink to work?
http://www.helidirect.com/eflite-di...cpp2-p-8304.hdx

or the tail heatsink for the esky hb?
http://www.esky-heli.com/ek10223-ta...ink-p-2436.html

what do others think (besides the aforementioned comment that this nickel and diming is silly... lol)

are these heatsinks even close in size to the motors or is it like comparing mothra to the residents of tokyo?

hi

I fly mine for 5 minutes.. Still have original packs and runs STRONG....

I charge using Hyperion Duo...

I do not fly until light flicks.. I set timer for 5 mins and thats it.If you are flying until the light blinks then you are flying TOO LONG and the battery life WILL be reduced

Crash-Prone and overcoming it!!!

I see there is THOUSANDS of posts here so obviously I didn't read them all.
However for others like me who goes from page 1 to 17 in one gynormous bound...

I read on the first several posts that people were looking for more forward speed.Well,on mine I took the linkage loose on the elevator servo and turned it one full turn longer than factory and it is very fast now.

Holy cow!!!

We must have had different starting points.
I have run it out two more turns since that post. That makes three.
At four it wouldn't stop until it hit something even with full back elev.

At three it has a forward bias but I can hover it with some back elev.

It is REALLY fast now too.

For others reading....

The linkages seem to only go on one way so avoid half turns or you might brake the swash.

well it was 5 full turns for both my rtf and bnf

they move pretty good ff, especially if you give it left rudder and cyclic

Cool.
Mine may have been set up wrong to start with.It was super slow with a little bias to a backwards slide.

i think thats the way they all come from factory, moves pokey forwards and almost twice as fast backwards

with turning the arm 5 full turns in ff is at least 3 times faster than out of box, backwards flght is reduced to the speed of the original forward flight.

it is still able to perform a hands off hover with elevator trim

mcKrackin, Mine was pre-ordered the 2nd day they had it up on hh.com They didn't have pictures up for it yet, but I knew what it was already. Tried asking them about it from the preview video, but they e-mailed be back saying "We cannot confirm or deny the manufacturing of this product by E-Flite, Horizon Hobby, or any of our affiliates". blah blah blah... 2 weeks later, it was on their site. lol.

You may have beaten me on the order date BUT......My LHS has one lotted for demo and they are selling it to me(already paid for)before HH starts selling them.

I had to promise not to show anyone until after the actual release.

Seems a moot point now though since everyone in the heli world has seen them though.
