J.D. Wilson I think what you have is what they are calling the toilet bowl effect. guys are saying that the blades are unbalanced or out of track. I would try to change the upper blades first. That solved the problem for my fathers. I have not had the problem yet knock on wood.

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

here is something for you to try if you are useing a dx7 or simular transmitter up the expo on elev and aileron i increased mine to 25 and it feels much nicer on the sticks. Something that i noticed about the elevator shorting mod by turning it about 4 turns seems to level the swash more thus giving better forward flight. It seems it wasnt level from the factory.

I solved my wobble problem. Replaced the center shaft. That did it. My many crashes had bent it a bit. She's as good as new now.

Why this one

I looked at the MCX today at a local hobby shop for $129, is this really that superior than lets say the $50 Chinook that you can buy at Brookstone.

Is this really a good starter unit, the controller looks like a toy too, nothing like the one that comes with the CX

I'm going to the mall tomorrow. I'll check that one out. I doubt it will fly like the MCX though.

JD, is that an easy fix ? My MCX is wobbling also (Not to bad but really noticable when hovering and doing pirouettes.) It's just that the heli is so small, it's hard to work on. Thanks in advance.

It's so easy it's rediculous. Just remove the top blades (two screws)and loosen the set screws at the bottom of the shaft. Slide out the old shaft, put in the new one and you are done. Anyone can do this in under 5 minutes. And your blade will fly like brand new when done. Good luck.

Trouble in paradise today. I picked up my transmitter (the one that came with the Mcx) and it basically fell apart. The left throttle stick and the plastic roller ball fell out. I took it apart and it's a mess. Now I'm down until I can find a new controller. I don't want to use my main radio every time I want to fly this thing around the house. I have never dropped the radio either.

I sold one of these just to buy another one for my son. He is 4 and he is very ruff with his toys. This little heli has been crashed so many times off walls, free falls, hard furniture and even concrete. It is still going strong with no breakage at all, very tough. If anyone needs a beginner heli this is it for sure.

Got to have my cup of heli in the morning.

Add me to the list of new Mcx Club owners too please. I got the bnf as an early x-mas gift from my buddy, and bound it to my dx7 transmitter it’s a blast to fly in the house.
LMAO at the comment by (HotsHabit Whats the life expectancy of the drive motors? Anyone care to venture a guess?) And hoping it gets more then 120 flights that Deafheliflyer said his BCP lasted. As I’m closing in on 100 flite’s. And as for the disease CHD (Compulsive Helicopter Disorder) It’s to late I’ve already got it. LOL I got 3 batteries and fly it over an over every day.

It was fun, I had a servo motor go out now I am down for the count until one comes in. Anyone have the servo's quit on them? They seem pretty week, Almost as if they are meant to go out.

I think it is the small transmitter that it comes with. I just rebound it and now the left servo will not work in for and aft cyclic. it works in ail. fine.

im in

Had mine for awhile. I manage to break the flybar holder and now both balllinks on the the top blades. I flew this at the 2008 Wing over Houston air show early in the morning before the winds picked up. im am suprised on the how high this thing can go with the stock transmitter. That how i broke the flybar holder. was coming down to fast and it crashed into the tar mat. The blades do not like a fast decent.

Is it the weekend yet?
