I don't know anything about glow ropes. I see them for like $8.

However, where, how do they plug in?

No jokes please!

The ones at my LHS are $15 and plug into the RX on an extra channel for power. Next time I'm there I will find out what brand they are.

I got Align night blades for the TREX450. But...

By the time it's dark enough to see the lights, I lose orientation..

I just want something to see which end is which.

MMike thats a driver for the light strings they run on AC not DC so they need a DC to AC converter or driver transducer what ever you want to call it not that I have been considering night flying or anything.

looks good MMike if you want to be creative though bikers have been using the 12V led lighting for sometime now check out any biker shops or search the net for them. Here is one of the more popular ones.

Put an Esky 704B HH gyro in the Striker 100 pixy Zap type heli.
The 704 rate gyro was holding fine.
I had to really turn the gain WAY down on it but it still oscillated out of control and flopped on the ground on me like I sprayed a fly w/ RAID.
Something in the head got bent. Probably the screws that are used like spindles.
I'll give up on tweeking this thing and toss the rate gyro in. Waste of time to get this to fly like the gaui. I will probably just put the heavier flybar weights on it too so steady it out as well and relegate it to backyard flying.

Mike,
How hot were the batteries getting? I just bought a couple of the Zippys 2200 3s 25-35c. They are way better than the aligns and true rc batteries ive been using. I also have a flight power 25 c. All of those batteries get about 120 in the MT. The Zippys get about 100 in the MT. Maybe you need to upgrade the c rating. How are the rest of them doing?
