Is there anyway you could get it down to me in Oxford and I'll sort it for free, no worries, I'm sure it's nothing to worry about it's probably something small that has been missed.

Thankyou Peter, are you going to Charmouth?

Hazchem, several weeks sounds like a long time off to me, if you can't make it down, let Matt bring it to me and I will video the fix, if this would help and you could even post it on youtube to help others. I'm free Wed 25 until the Friday so could turn it round real quick ready for the weekend. Don't worry it will be in very safe hands.

Hey hazchem88,

Yeah I'm not too far away from you matey as I live in Northamptonshire, Rushden to be precise.
However it seems PeterRob is implying I am not capable of helping you with "useful" information and so you might want to consider going elsewhere

To be honest with you Bellbloke has done a lot more strip down and rebuilds than I have, I just get out there, fly, then fix as necassary and so he is more proficient to strip your Turbine down if it is needed.

Just an idea I got while reading your post, but I'm wondering if your leak might be from within the FOD guard somewhere?
I have skimmed though the topic to see if this has already been looked into and have not seen anything mentioned, but I may have missed it with it already been asked/covered.
I've read the leak is coming from the front of the Turbine but not gathered if it's from inside, from around the front turbine wheel or not?

If you need me though dude I am around, PM or email me and I'd certainly be willing to have a look over it for you. If all else fails and I fail to find & fix the problem, you can still take it to Bell's for a strip down.

hi thanks coolice,
I'll take up your offer if need be, but I think the other guys will take a look first.
The fuel is coming from inside the turbine, not just inside the cover,
though of course it could be something simple I am missing, which is part of the reason why it would be good if someone with experience with these can take a look

Hey Matey,

Yeah that's fine, I'm always willing to help and so if you need me I'm here.

Definetly Bell is the one to chat to as he's hot on strip downs and rebuilds, myself I have never had to do it with my Turbine, I just pay close attention for future reference.
I'm going to be helping a local JetCat owner (steady all ) change his bearings at some stage which will be fun.

Hopefully it is just something your missing which will be easily rectified.

hi
I just had a thought,

my 2 gas charger bottles are mounted horizontally,

but I think I read somewhere recently that they should be vertical,
because otherwise you can get liquid butane leaking in somewhere,

not sure why I didn't think of that.
Is that possible, can you get liquid butane leaking into the engine from bottles mounted on their sides?
would it get past the gas valve/solenoid?

I need to see if the 'fuel' coming out is kerosene or butane,
do they have a different taste(!) or smell

well
I managed to pour a few drops out,
I think it smells liek kerosene, and it's a little oily so I guess it's not the butane
just a thought

Hi hazchem, I have your Predator safe and sound. You've done a nice job, I like the black side frames, really posh!
Anyway I've done a check on the fuel valve and it is faulty, it's not bad but it is faulty none the less. Basically it is leaking very slightly and that is why your engine is slowly filling with fuel. I will call Wren and get them to send a new one and I will swap it over and test it for you.
I can also set up the rest of the machine if you wish to save you the bother. I have no need to fly it as I can now set up the headspeed pitch throttle curves static. I have now worked out a little formula based on weight and blade size.
Speak soon, call anytime, regards Bell Bloke.

No you are not missing anything, weather wise.
I will run the engine up and check a few things, but all looks good to me anyway.
Can you give me a call just to talk about the stretch options and if you want to go for them?
All the best Bell.
