Hey Jeep Geo,
yeah that site that odam sent you to is really great and the guy answers questions if you send him an email but it's mainly for rappy's! Here is the one for t-rex's:

http://www.trextuning.com/index.php

By the way yeah all my heli's have 401's now and I just set the gear channel to gear and use the switch to change it from HH to rate mode. There's no real need for rate mode so just set up for HH and you'll have a great flying heli!! By the way setting up the gear channel to gyro is teddious and can be hard to get so I would just recommend to set it to gear and it'll be a walk in the park just set the pitch slider to the center, adjust the gain and pyro and your set(oh yeah don't forget about the limit pot you don't want your servo to bind but have the same amount of range in both directions so you kind of have to play with the servo mount a little to get it, I hope that makes sence)! I think setting the gear channel to gyro is for more advanced flying I would assume you would need different gain settings for different flying characteristics but all the people that i've seen just set it to gear and fly however they want.

I hope that helps!

Setting up a 401 and DX7 really doesnt matter if its on a Raptor or a blade 400 which is what I was setting it up on... the way he recommends to set it up is great, works very effectively and was easy to follow...

Anyhow, its lunch time, gotta go fly, its supposed to storm again this afternoon

Thats what I always hated about the summers here, its very humid... same in houston if I recall... But right now, I'd rather it was hot and humid

4 more hours then I'm off for 12 days (the 12 days of christmas?) he he

In 4 hours we should be in the middle of another snowstorm, then tomorrow morning, freezing rain, then rain all day tomorrow... man, its been beautiful the last couple days, quite cold, but clear and no wind... and of course, I've been stuck at my desk...

On the bright side, I got a new laptop for work, looking forward to installing the G4.5 and HeliSimRC and seeing how it behaves... G4.5 will be the test

Got my first set of blades (for the 400) in the mail today from HongKong, good thing, cause I'm all out, had to buy a set the other day. Hope to get my metal head and tail for the BeltCP soon so I can put it back together and put it in the scale body... I suppose I'll be wanting to upgrade those servos too

Hey Jeep,

Thanks for your kind words, its really hard as you know, feeling helpless! God works through people and its seems He would like them to hold on, they still have work to do, or he would have taken them in an instant! Thats my thoughts.

Good question on the 401 settings, I will be looking for answers to that myself.

Merry Christmas everyone, hope you all get a new Heli!!!
My wife wants me to get a 600N!!!

it came painted nice red, white, and blue. it made for a t-rex 450 so I have to do a few mods to the mounts to make it fit right. I also up-graded the gyro to a 401 so I need to get it all set right before I bolt it in the fuse and it's been to dang cold for me to get outside with it

do unto others then stand back and watch.

yeah I hear ya, I wanted to leave the ar6100 in there and to see how it looked but after I started messing with it I decided to put the ar7000 and the retract servo since I don't think it's comming off in a while. I should have changed the main gear though I knew it was already going bad but I was lazy it's still going to hold on for a while but like I said I don't have any plans of taking it off anytime soon

I just got my new metal head and tail in the mail for the BeltCP yesterday, so I'm rebuilding it, and will be putting it in the scale body (center in the picture below) again. Not fancy, but sharp looking....

I love pegboard... I had so many parts here in drawers, and on the wall hanging on nails, so I went out this morning and bought two sheets of pegboard, and a whole bunch of hooks and other hangers for the pegboard. Have one hung up with all the parts on it, looks like the hobby shop! he he The other will go by my workbench, and I'll be hanging my tools etc on it... I'll get some pictures when I'm done.

Hiya Sonny!. No Papa doesn't have Pay Pal, But not the end of the world. Yes Copter-x sells Walkera mainly, but if you look up thier web site you'll be surprised!!! They sell a lot of 450 bling-bling OH-6 Thanks for the idea for my batt. pack. I have a 450xl frame set up so I just put my Esc on the bottom of the battery tray heat sink on the bottom and put my battery on top Had to do some frame grinding, so it wouldn't be so tight with the fuse on.....It's coming right along! I'll try to take some rebuild pics and post after Christmas....Chopper-1 LIVES

Hey Everybody,
I suppose most of you fella's will be celebrating with the family. So I will wish you all a very merry Christmas!
I went to fly today in a gymnasium but found a few problems or should I say one of the guys who knows what he's doing did!! I have slop in my head, well the one on the heli is the one I am talking about. It has two o rings on each side and the little spacer but still has slop. I can push the blade grips in! These blade grips are metal replacements. Has anyone had this issue?
I gotta get this fixed in a hurry i might be able to use that gym again friday!

Sonny, try adding another washer on each side, between the o-ring and the washer thats there now... its probably a special washer that has a raised face on one side for the bearing? I don't have a rex, but its the same on all my others...

So, I got my pegboard mounted, and almost everything in its place now... here's a couple pics of one half of my living room... Click them for a bigger picture...

Sonny, There should be two rubber o rings, a 1mm spacer, Inner bearing, the blade grip, the outer bearing and finaly a large flat washer, a small washer and cap screw. I tried to take a picture of the manual but it did not come out that well but here it is.

Hey Odam, We must have been on the same wave leangth today, cause my wife was at HD today and pick me up some pegboard and hooks too! What a difference it made. You setup it awsom man! what a coincidence.

Hey OH-6 is that your 450 under that canopy? That look very cool. I would be so scared to fly it as I would end up crashing it. I still don't have a canopy since my last bad crash. Is it easy to change batterys? I thought I would take it easy on my hernia surgery today and just walk to the street and keep it simple, next thing i know I was half a block away stuck it a tree! Luckly some neighbor kids came to the rescue, climbed the tree and got it out. Maybe I should have just stayed in bet and simmed! All the usual dammage. Back up and flying in an hour and finnished my last two batts.

I also powder coated my tail boom red for a little better vis today. I love powder coat as it is a very tough paint. What do you all think? Red and black were the only two collors I had.
Aslo Sonny, here is a better shot of the parts layout
