Helicopter Training

Just started flying Helicopters earlier this year. Started doing flip overs and can fly oval pattern flight pretty well. NUST Have Well Over 100+ Flights By niw. Also been pretty lucky where I have only had 1 issue where the power system shut down but managed only minor damage, this happened around flight 20.

I just recently picked up a goblin 700 and it is such a smooth flying bird Both my trex 550 and tge goblin are dine with the angry bird scheme. Going to a large heli funfly this Saturday in Burlington MA with one of my closest friends which happens to be a well established heli pilot and my instruck or as well. Can't wait, should be a blast.

How are you liking the Goblin 700? I've been thinking of grabbing one for my grandson and I. I know I can handle flying it, but I'm not too sure about him.

Thanks!

Been flying for over 20 years. An absolute RC Helicopter enthusiast!

Well, after many years of trials and tribulations, I'm back flying! Talk about Brown Streaks! People say it's like riding a bike; but this time it could hurt you real bad. Thank you LORD for my Sim! Just finished going over all fittings and bearings, and upgrading my Main ? Auto gears and one way bearings on my 450 "Sexy Rexie". She's looking good. New batteries and I'm ready. Also going for my Airman Certificate too. Whew......lot's of studying......again. But that's OK, I dig it! Hope all is well with everyone. Will be checking back from time to time.

Talk about brown streaks!!! What a few weeks! Been flying the 450 with new batteries and the elevator servo froze up YIKES! She was up 30 feet in our back field and just started to roll over and descend out of my view! We live on a little hill so I just envisioned what was going on I didn't know the servo had failed. I didn't know what was going on! So said a quick prayer and started looking in the field. I found her laying on her side beeping because I turned off the TX. NO DAMAGE!!!! Not even a scratch on the brand new Canopy! WOW! not even a bent feather or main shaft! Thank you JESUS! When I inspected her is when I noticed the elevator servo was very hard to move....it did move, but stiff. when I hooked up the RX and that servo It made the RX go into Fail Safe mode. That's why there was no damage, besides angels taking care of it. Of course Align stopped making that servo. So had to buy all new cyclic set.......darn! I also wanted everyone to know I passed the FAA Airman Certification! YAY! I am a licensed Drone Pilot! Hope everyone is well here. Wishing you Blue Calm Skies

Congratulation on earning your certification.. About you heli, yes you are lucky to save that machine coming down at 30 feet.

hey Papa Sal! Great to hear you're still making brown streaks. Ive flown a bit lately but not enough. I've gotten motivated to get back at it. Sometimes you just put so much mental, and financial energy into the helis my brain needs a break. I'm refreshed and determined to gain back my thumbs. I'm shopping for a new sim currently. Any suggestions on the new sims that have come about since ive been out of touch? Hope all is well and nice save brother! Go Team BS.

Hey guys! Had a tangle with a tree eating heli.......the tree won but I was able to rebuild and upgrade to flybarles! Looks good we'll see soon. I took some pictures of Rexie, but kind of afraid! I watched many videos. So I will keep you all posted. I have a question...... any of you ever thought to build a full scale helicopter? I've been researching the Rotorway A600 turbo. Now that's a kit!

oh heck yeah!!!!

I love you guys!!!! I found a thread where I can hang out with people who fly me like me. We HOVER!!!!! I was planning on starting a you tube channel for hoverers. Tired of all the 3D smacking and flipping and flopping etc.... Lets just hover a bit. LOL Just kidding all. It is nice to know I am not the only one who wakes up in the morning and their goal is to hover and not wreck.

So.... cheers to all us who hover..... may we some day find forward flight.

Welcome aboard Gringle! Keep on hovering....... do it nose out , nose left, nose right, and brown streak nose in! Lol. Whatcha flying? I noticed you're in Arizona, how far are you from Chandler? That's where they make the full scale Rotorway A600 Talon kit. Have fun.

Happy Hovering

My hanger has;

1) Blade 250 CFX
2) TRex 450 --- 3s version

and my new pride and joy

3) Gaui NX4 with the gas engine

We hover... nose out, nose in, nose right, nose left, etc....

I do believe in building the foundation so I start here and work on those positions then I will slowly grow.

I live in Queen Creek and fly mostly at the Heli Bowl at Signal Butte and Elliot.

I used to live a few miles from Rotoway. We were at Chandler Blvd and Price Road. Now we are in Queen Creek.

I recently posted a goofy video of me hovering and flying between carpet tiles. Figured youtube is full of those guys slamming these things around faster than our eyes can keep up... so I would post something the exact opposite. For all the hoverers out there. We exist but no for long. Soon we will be slamming also. LOL

Watch at YouTube
