ya sonny i hear ya i fly with some sponcered pilots and seems most dont like the latency that the flybarless systems seem to have. im not sure what thay mean it feels alot faster to me but thats just my opinion as if i was good enough to tell the differance in stick movement to heli reaction. not yet at least. i was happy with the flybar version but do like the added speed the 3g offers and the fact that i dont have to replace as many parts after a crash is nice to

Well I only got in a couple of flights last night. I have been working on the flipping diamonds and am getting those pretty good. Have done the front flip, back flip and even tried to do a rolling diamond. However last night while doing some passes across the runway and doing continuous rolls at the end of the runway I decided to give a little ruder input. Well I kept going and rolling and giving rudder input and before I knew it I had completed half a rolling circle. So I figured what the heck keep going. Well of course the 3/4 point is where I gave up the ghost. Man have to stop thinking about the inputs and just do it. Guess this means I had better work on those now. Before this I have never tried a rolling circle. Not even on the sim.

I almost put it in last night! I dumb thumbed it and went down instead of up!!! Whew it was a close one. I sure am glad I spend time on the sim every chance i can, its really helped in the recovery and to stop the panic situations and in turn saved a bunch of dollars!!
Way to go Chris on the diamonds!! You have progressed very well this year also!

It sure is great that we've had nice weather for flying! I was out today, and finally got some video. it was my first flight of the day, so its a little rough, but I ended up burning a gallon through the 50

Had me a brown streak moment the other day.... I was flying the 50, and I'm working on tail in inverted, and it was about 20 feet up, and I started about 100 feet away... it was coming toward me, no problem, nice and slow, and at about 30 feet away I figured I better do something about it, and went to flip over AWAY from myself, and without even thinking, pushed the elevator stick forward, and all of a sudden here is this big rotor disc about 15 feet away from me, and coming right at me! I managed to pull the stick back, lots of time to spare, and never even let on to those watching that it was anything out of the ordinary, but I thought for sure my shorts were gonna need a pre-rinse...

The fuel tank on the TZ Frenzy 50 is quite big. Although I put an align pipe on mine and it seems to go through the fuel faster. The pipe I had on it originally seemed to get a good 10 minutes or more per tank!
I had the brown streak moment the other day when my electric went down. The motor just quit pretty high up and my brain didn't kick in for a second or two, but all I broke was the landing skids! And my chin, as I was walking out to get it out of the corn, I stepped in a tire ditch in the weeds and fell down and something cut my chin! Same day the tail rotor exploded on my Frenzy. I never did find the blade grips or shaft! So I'm waiting on parts right now

I timed my flight on the 50 yesterday, 12 minutes and still had a bit of fuel in the tank. That thing has a huge tank.

Sonny, hope your chin is ok What happened with the tail on the 50? Any idea? Can you tell from the remaining pieces what let go, or why? I've had a tail explode on a 450, but not a 50 yet....

Odam, I have no idea what let go. I couldn't find but a couple of pieces of the tail blades and the vertical fin. That was it! It wasn't acting right so i was playing with the trim and wasn't more than 5' off the ground when she went! I also tore out the front tail drive gear, so I don't know if the belt got pinched or what! Now I have to wait for parts.

Ah, the whole tail blew up? Not just throwing the blades. I wonder if the same issue as the Raptors have, where the pin holding the gear to the tail rotor shaft comes out and cuts into the plastic? That could damage the tail enough that it would fail like that...

Well, I thought I better check mine, and it's a rainy day today, so just sitting around waiting for the drizzle to stop. I pulled mine apart, and everything looks fine, but I did find 4 missing teeth on my belt. This should explain the issue I've been trying totrack down, the tail has a steady pulse while I was hovering.

Hopefully I will get out at least to test it today...

Hope it helps to know that your misery may be my salvation

The Align belt is a lot narrower. I checked that out! Darn!
I think it is like the raptor tail in that aspect although I never knew what caused them to fail like that, only that some of the raptor guys have had their tail blow apart. I have the metal tail for the Frenzy, I just never put in on before, now I guess I will and hope for the best!
