I have the 90 almost back together now, been taking my time... I don't have a fbl head for it, so it may have to wait till next month to go fbl

My second Frenzy will definitely be fbl though. I won't get the VBars till next week, they should arrive in customs tonight plus I'mn still waiting on the other Frenzy fbl head. Its coming from Hong Kong, in a shipment with Lipos... Apparently HKPost is not allowing any LiPo batteries on planes any more, so my shipment has been routed by courier to Singapore, and from there, via EMS shipping... dunno how that will affect delivery time

I should be picking up another ElyQ Vision 50 kit shortly, along with a bunch of spare parts, for a great price, so will resurrect that machine too...

I definitely want to see what a 450 with a vBar is like

Hey you guys that have the frenzy 50. I have had a few crashs with mine and the lower canopy mounting post have been bent a few times. I have ordered a new post kit from Amain but it does not come with the threaded rod link. And the threads are not the same size as the linkages. Have any of you had this problem or what have you done to fix it. I'm not sure my post will take to many more crashes before I will have to figure something out.

Carpe Diem!!!

Hmm, havent had that problem yet... you don't get it with the frame nose either... Worst case, you could order the .90 canopy mounting posts, http://www.amainhobbies.com/product...Posts-Frenzy-90

it seems to have the threaded rod. Since the post is in the same place, the length should be correct...

Wow, they are quite a bit more expensive than HC for parts eh? I guess if you get free shipping it works out, but here in Canada, we always end up paying for shipping, its never free to Canada, plus we usually end up paying duties and taxes when it crosses the border, but when we order from China, there's almost never any extra fee above the shipping cost.

Might just have to get a rod from a hardware store and re tap the aluminum posts. Crazy they don't come with the rod! I ordered some for spares but never looked to see if it had the rod in it!

Oh yeah Baby! I got my collective pitch lowered so the heli doesn't about die when i try a flip and the cyclic pitch adjusted so i can do rolls properly and I feel a lot better trying them now that I know the heli won't quit in mid air!! Had a fun fly yesterday and had a great day, I took two heli's with me, and brought them both back alive!!

Way to go Sonny! Eventually you will get to the point where that's normal (bringing em home in one piece)

I decided to sell my Raptor 50 finally... I haven't flown it in a while, and its a perfectly good heli, so I figure someone else may as well get some use out of it It served me well, that's for sure!

It was really windy here this weekend, only flew the 450 a bit, been indoors building a couple new planes....

My collective was 12.5 maybe, and I turned it down to 10.5.
I just have to be sure I'm high enough to try flips and rolls so i can save it if I mess up!! Or I should say when, I mess up!!

Flew at the field last night and all was good! I did some rolls and flips and she acted like it was supposed to. I had the little grill in the van and cooked some hot dogs for everybody while I was there.

OHHHHH HAPPY DAY!.....just call me Papa Loopie! I just did 3 loops on my 450 for the very first time in three years. Oh I've tried and every time I have crashed!....I use to blame my FUT. 3107 servos......it's true they did ALWAYS strip a gear, but they were not the problem.....I WAS! It seems that I was under the idea of "full throttle....full cyclic"= BIG crsah! What would happen and did happend this morning as well is I would "Stall" the main blade which would blow out the tail, and down she'd come.....broken servo's and all. they just couldn't handle the torque. But my new Align DS-410M ROCK and I was able to recover.....talk about "Brown Streak" Whew She was piroetteing back and forth up and down then I regained HS and all was well except for me.....lol Talking to my bro's that have been flying for as long as I have, I learned that you DON'T really go to far past center stick +OR- .....Lesson learned.....I feel like donkey from Shrek...."Let's do that AGAIN!!!".
