It was a beautiful day, but a little on the windy side...

I was only at the field for about an hour or maybe hour and a half.

I flew my new Frenzy .50 Wow, what a beautiful machine. Compared to the Raptor .50 it felt much bigger, and smoother in the air. I had the new Spartan Quark gyro on it, and that little sucker held the tail rock solid just like it's big brother, the 760. I was doing tail slides, tic-tocs, loops, flips, rolls, everything I am capable of, and the machine just felt tight....

At one point, hovering inverted, the rubber exhaust deflector came off, hit the blades... no damage at all, but the noise made me bring it down, I had no idea what it was.... when I saw the deflector missing, I knew it was ok to keep flying.

The engine seems to be causing quite a vibration. It has new bearings... perhaps the fan is not on center or something. I'll pull it apart and check it out. It vibrated a canopy nut off during flight, and I could see the side of the canopy vibrating... it ended up the posts pushed right through the canopy, so now the holes are big enough for the extra grommets that came with it Just have to find another bolt to fit it, or pick up some more canopy nuts...

I am extremely happy with the way it flies, and really can't wait for warmer weather... I was using my transmitter box with the heater in it so at least my hands were nice and toasty...

the frenzy 50 seems to have problems with the fan and clutch stack runout, check the JS forums here and they go into depth on the issue.

hope it continues to fly well for you, great feeling when a new models works well.

Odam, did you shoot any video of the tz flying? I am anxious to get mine in the air now!!! I picked up a bunch of parts from AMain when i got mine, plus from HC. I noticed the canopy felt a little on the thin side so I want to put some more fiberglass resin on the inside. I think thats what is lacking to make it a much stronger canopy. Of course it will add a little weight to it.

Hey Chris yeah, My bad, i thought it was Aaron who made the comment about flying on the ice. After hearing about Odam's vibration. I guess I better call you and get together to check the fan before i put it in. I have to go to Detroit tomorrow and will be back Monday eve. I'm so tired from being gone all last week!!!
Did you test fly your Frenzy yet?

hay guys im having a issue with the 600 i just put the ys 56 in it seems to have developed a wobble in a hover and i cant figure it out changed everything except for the motor and i dont think the motor could be the problem changed the head blades clutch fan clutch liner .
.
thaught it was a dampner issue but changing out the head would have solved it. not the problem dont know what els to do its a slow wobble acts like low head speed issue but its running at 1900on the head for brake in have 2 tanks of fuel through the new motor now and havent dont much more than work on it trying to figure out whats going on. the bearings are all new main shaft is new spindal is new the whole heli only had 12 flights on it sence being built.
.
any thaughts thay may help me with this

Cobra, try the fan and clutch assembly. Although i can't imagine that doing a wobble. More of a vibration thing. Blades are all good? Main gear? One way bearing? Let us know what you find out!

nope dont know what els to try think i will get a new fan and clytch assembly i dont think it is the proiblem but the only thing that i have changed from no no wobble to wobble was the motor before i put the motor in it flue great. and i have changed everything to known good stuff that was flying on my t=other heli with no change.
.
i will say my buddies 600 with the ys 56 in it and outrage pipe makes incredible power it will do an inverted elevator and climes faster than my 700 when doing so. and it dose not bog at all. its awesome

Wow, I may have to try one of those this year! Although the type of flying I do, I wouldn't notice any difference for another year! LOL.
Hope you find that wobble!

Yeah, I noticed that too! Barely a post every other day! Must be the winter blues! I did hover the 450 in the basement, but haven't flown outside in a couple of weeks! Maybe not enough sunshine!
