I have some 9252's for cyclic and a hitech ?? for throttle, I don't know about the rest, but I am leaning toward a AR7100R reciever for it. I'm not sure if the voltage will be an issue with the cyclic servo's or not. If someone knows anything about this, please let me know. Not sure about the gyro either. There's some good deals here on the RR classifieds on some of the older futaba gyro's. I have a 601 on my 600N and although, I've not put it to any test, I saw a couple of buddy's fly the crap out of it, and it seems just fine. Its just nice that the newer ones are so small and they don't weigh so much or take up space on the heli.

yeah nah its fine im taking it slow just want to get the hover on command i think i will be ok on the flying part

anybody have advice on the align gyro and servo that come with the 450 pro i really like the size of the futaba 520 and would really like the fastest tail servo avsailable for the rudder

i use .06 in my cars on the steering and i can fell the difference from a .10 servo so im sure faster would be better on a heli also

the align gyro is up to the task for sure, most people use the futaba 9257 on the tail.

What about the align servo for the tail? I hear good things about them when they work, and thats either out of the box, they don't work or they do! I don't really have any experience with them. So I'm asking.

Opps my bad! You are talking about a gyro and tail servo for a 450. I'm thinking more for a 50 sized heli.

yeah i seen the 9257 is that plenty fast enough?
over what the pro align rudder servo. i mean it seams fine it holds the tail quite solid for my inexperience hands. i guess i just like the futaba stuff cause of the size was considering swapping out the align speedo, motor, gyro, rudder servo and going with companies i deal with on the car side

castle,hacker,futaba,thunder power lol

anyone looking for very light used align electronics

Yeah it holds very well
as for the align speedo there pretty good to, I think they under rate them a bit, what motor do you have now ? The scorpion -8 is very nice and very powerful and wont break the bank, as for batteries, I recently switched to the hyperion 35c and they make the older technology batteries feel like there is one less cell in the pack !!!

Hey Sonny...

I picked up a used Futaba S9253 for a great price for the tail, and am going to try the new Spektrum A6010's on the cyclic... Good price, half decent specs... we'll see....

Now to finish assembly....

Odam, I picked up a gy611 and servo today. I would have liked to have done away with the gyro amp, but oh well!

You really should have gotten a spartan

I need to get a governor for my new 50, I have a GV1 on my Raptor, but was looking at two options, the Aerospire MultiGov Pro and the Active Throttle Governor Version 3. Both are about the same price with the LCD programming unit... Any preferences?

I'm leaning toward the MultiGov for no particular reason....

No Steve! Remember, I have to fly 50 times successfully before I get a 700! I might have gotten a spartan this time but the price was right for the 611 and I don't think a spartan is any better than those. And for the money, i would still need a tail servo. Although maybe down the road a bit, I may try one. Maybe for the 700, if I ever get 50 successful flights, not just hovering! I could probably do that, but then again, I don't have the patience to just hover! Maybe thats why i have a barrel full of tail booms for recycling! who knows, I may have enough recycling to pay for a 700 the way I'm going!

Anyway, Here's a toast to all you heli pilots out there!!

Happy New year, and may there be less crashing this coming year!!!

Happy New Year everyone... May this years flying reflect one more year of experience

I went ahead and ordered the MultiGov Pro, I can't wait to get this TZ V2 50 in the air.... Now I'll have 2 50's when I go to the field... I flew the Raptor yesterday at our Frozen Finger Fun Fly, that was fun flying in a snowstorm, he he... Thankfully I have nice bright flourescent colors on my canopy, and the Raptor tucks away all the servos etc under the canopy to keep em out of the weather... anyhow, only flew a couple flights, but it was fun.

Now its windy as heck for a couple days, so no more flying...

hay sonny so your getting a 700 lol sweeet. how long do the guys have to build the bunker
.
i just got a ys 56 for my 600 cant wate to fly it with the new motor but still need to get a pipe and i am also changing all the electronics.
.
sonny i havent heard anything lately about the 7100r but thay were having problems with them. i run the 71oo with tj pros on everything except for my 500 nitro whitch i use a 7000 and a tj pro.
.
love that setup though verry reliable and amd using 610 servos on crack has been a good move with no problems at all.
.
by the way are you guys still using the align 2in1 regulator ?
i have had nothing put problems with them caused 3 of my 4 crashes this year.

hay sonny be carefull as odam and myself have found out the spartin can be verry addicting. i havent trie a futaba 611 but really see no need as the 520 is supose to be alot better and the spartin has the new quark out for 169.00 and its about the size of a dime and alot less weight than the 611. and its bullet proof as far as i can see.
