yep, I have a fuel clip on it. I will have to remember to do that from now on. I hit the throttle hold switch and it shuts it down.

That all I do, throttle hold to stop. I don't drain the tank if I'll fly within a week... Pinecone on the other site did a video where he says you should fill, then empty the tank, this will purge out the exhaust gasses...

If you don't know how old your clunk liine is, you should also replace it, especially on a used bird... I ended up replacing all the fuel lines when I got my 30, and will do the same on the 50 just to be safe...

Flew this morning, nothing spectacular, just the 450's. Came home, had breakfast, then a nap, and it was windy as heck when I woke up, so I'm in the process of rebuilding a Blade 400, might do both of them...

Hey, thanks for the tip Odam, I downloaded and watched that video. Good info! I went out to fly and had some trouble, as I inadvertently cleared out the programming for the 600e. I didn't know what the sub trims were, so I was screwed. I put it down and was intimidated by the wind so it was a short session. A couple of brown streak moments though!!

Sure was windy today but a buddy and I went out to fly our 600E's.
We got close to a building that blocked the wind but it was still hairy.
One battery a piece was all we could do, or wanted to do.

Yeah, the wind sucks.,.. or blows, or something... lol

Its the same here all week... then rain on the weekend

I can;t even get out to fly, I'm working downtown this week (at the CNTower if you've heard of it) so I leave early, get home late kinda thing... and I don't think they'd let me fly there... he he heck, if ya stand in one place too long security shows up asking what your doing there...

I didn't get a chance to call about my raptor parts, but I did get one of my blade 400's built, but have a very nasty tail wag... I've got my gain set to 20% to tame it. There are no apparent vibrations on the bird, so I'm not sure whats up... I tried a different tail servo, a different gyro, still same thing... will play more over the next couple evenings... for now its back to the sim....

Do you find doing 3D stuff on the sim kind of like the real thing. I have been doing to flips and stuff on the sim but keep it way up high so i can recover!

On the sim its easy to do flips in place, not sliding around, or losing altitude... it has to do with collective, in real life I am always applying way to much collective, as if I am afraid it will fall out of the sky if I dont... I just can't get myself to let if flip on its own so to speak... in the sim, I can sit in one place and flip, roll, etc...

however, once I can master something in the sim, I just have to find the nerve to go ahead and try it for real... I keep trying to do things high up, or further away, but that makes it harder, especially with me eyes... lol

I can hover inverted no problem on the sim, inches off the ground, and when I try for real, I end up doing it 30-40 feet in the air, and the perspective is all different, and much harder from below.. I want to get the nerve to flip it over waist high so I am looking down at it, and I think it will be easier, but the pucker factor keeps me from doing it... just like the flips on takeoff, I just had to surprise myself and do it, no planning ahead, or thinking about it...

thats why I generally set up my video camera even when I'm just gonna hover, because I might just surprise myself

Too windy to fly today!! darn!!!
Maybe tomorrow I can get some flying in. Spent a good two hours on the sim so far today. Practicing side in hovering. And then now and then when i get too far off my mark, i go ahead and take it up and do some rolls and flips.

know what you mean sonny some times it seems to hard to just sit there and hover and to easy to go into game mode. got to concentrate and practice certin manuvers over and over. think its easier to fly the real thing at least you know where the ground is.
