I need help organizing my hobby area. I bought a work bench which has a pegboard back, small shelf on top, and a large shelf just above floor below work surface. The problem is I've crammed it full of vehicles, power supplies and chargers and can barely move let alone get any work done on it.

I'm thinking of installing a few shelves above and below it to add more storage.

Any ideas on where to start other than the shelves?

Here's what's on/under/above the 5' bench:

Lst2 electric
T-rex 600NSP
Blade cx
Blade cx2
3x mini-z's
hpi 1/10th drifter
2x 1/18 mini trucks
Tc3 nitro
Iota 55a ps
1010c charger
Duratrax charger
6x car bodies
Weller soldering station

That's a lot of stuff to deal with isn't it?

Hang as much as you can from the ceiling and as many shelves as you can fit in. After a few months it will all have gotten out of control again. After a few years, you get pleasantly supprised when you find things you didn't know you had

I believe Midwest tidy-up just a bit before the photos.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

Hey midwest,

Why are you posting pics of your doctor's office?

Looks good. That's the look I'm shooting for. Hopefully in the next year I'll start building the basement and making a jewel of a shop yours.

I don't know, but Midwest hobby room looks more like a doctors office. Give me mess and parts everywhere anyday! Searching for parts is like a treasure hunt and I'm so happy when I find something I needed after looking for an hour, lol

I don't think doctors offices are that neat and clean unless he has no patients.

Is this clean enough? This was taken pre heli plunge. Now, the big pieces are replaced with a lot more of smaller pieces.

I got thrown out of the house. NO more airplanes or helo's in the house.. PERIOD! Ouch, Just when I thought it was ok to keep two 40% behind the couch and two Raptors on the coffee table. four more on the kitchen table. My 12' enclosed trailer is now housing everything I own and its just depressing how much sh!t I have jammed in there. NO telling how much is getting damaged because of the excess heat inside the trailer. I have been trying to go there every day and pull out batteries and make sense of the mess. I should get it double decked either this weekend or next.

Nice bit of stock you have there.

Don't you get hairy bits of insulation down your neck from out of the ceiling/floor above?
