I have a Trex600N running sweet with a YS50 and Geforce fan which seems to run very true (I haven't dial indicated it though). The heli is use for hard 3D and is running a headspeed of 2100...it pulls like a wild beast and exhibites no unwarrented vibration.

The problem is, I have started to brake cutches very frequently, on average I have been getting no more than about 10 flights per clutch for as long as I can remember now. The entire clutch stack has been replaced to no effect, I've always been running the Raptor90 HD liner since my very first cutch failure.

What more can be checked to ensure clutch longevity?

Can the stock clutch stack or clutch be replaced with a heavy duty clutch from another model or aftermarket clutch?

They fixed the problem with the clutch shoes so if you replaced it with the newest one you can't run the Raptor 90 HD. It will take too much torture breaking in with it being so tight.

On my NSP I just use the stock liner. I use the cardboard center out of a roll of black tape which I trimmed to fit the bell. Then I use it to set the liner up in the epoxy. I do not trim the liner ends they will meet when you push the roll in.. I paint an even thin layer of 30 minute epoxy on the bell with a tooth pick. Mine goes and goes also running 2100RPM and being hard on collective.

I have had two of them dynamite in flight. Totally destroyed the clutch and the bell. I have no confidence in the clutch after the second one just went.

I didn't measure the new clutch but I could fit 2 wraps of electrical tape between the bell and clutch for a "comfortable fit" while installing the R90 HD liner.

Or are you saying that even setup as describe above the clutch is under too much strain with the R90 HD liner?

I seem to remember a post a while back and someone stated they had replaced the stock clutch with a Rator clutch.

Can anyone verify this?

Verified the older clutch shoe made this a perfect fit after length trimming. The newer one is too tight I tried it and JR clutch liner both were too big. Stock one fits perfect. I mean I actually epoxied them in and waited 24 hours cleaned it up and tried it on the motor. No good too tight it will get glazed on break in.

Now if someone knows a way to tell for the 600N Pro guys the difference between new and old so we can tell that would be helpful.??
