I am having problems accessing any other speed setting other than 3 on my new mutigov. How do I get to speed settings 1 & 2? What buttons do I have to hit? I have an Airtronics rd 8000 tx and cannot tie the gov channel(7) to the flight mode switch, is the speed switching tied directly to the flight mode switch IE will it change(on the LCD) with the different flight modes on say a Futaba or JR radios?

If your Airtronics radio cannot tie the auxiliary channel to the flight mode switch, then you need to hook up the RPM select input to a two or three position switch channel. All MultiGov is looking for is high, middle, and low stick for speeds 1, 2, and 3.

If you only have a two position switch channel, you will get two speeds available instead of 3.

Once hooked up, you will see the LCD change automatically as you toggle your switch.

Now I see why....

Thank you Bob for the very prompt reply. I now can access speed 1 and 3! Now I see why JB carries your products. Easy setup, feature loaded, user friendly, plus quick tech service to boot! Thanks again.

Have airtronics rd8000 in my Pantera with gv1. Easiest way to setup governor is to connect rpm select to gyro channel and then connect gyro channel to aux1 or aux2, i.e. channel 7 or 8. This way you have two gyro gain settings and mode select switch operates governor. I believe the same principle works for about any governor. The problem with airtronics is that there is only one channel tied to mode switch (gyro channel).

Switch the gyro???!!!

Huh??!! Why didn't I think of that? Well that raises another question. Could you put a y harness on the gyro channel and operate both or will the EPA limit the govenor as well? Does the Multigov stand alone or does it take function limits from the transmitter?

IMO, The MultiGov is a stand alone device. Just looking at RPM and Head temp if you installed that option. The only link is with your idle up switch that commands the MultGov to your programed speed or overpeed settings. The gyro is along for the ride and should do just fine.
