As a full-scale pilot and rescue diver, keeping logs is second nature for me so when I started this hobby a few months ago, keeping a flight-log seemed like a logical responsibility.

I've been tracking flight time, aircraft maint, transmitter changes, battery data, battery depletion, etc. I've been religious about logging my flights and it has been an invaluable tool for monitoring performance characteristics (and I'm curious to know how long my lipos will last under normal use).

I don't belong to a club and don't have any senior heli pilots peers, so I'm curious to know if my logging practice is commonplace or if everybody is just-plain flying.

I got into these hobby at the end of last may and I been keeping track of my flights, my crashes and battery charges. Nothing fancy or detail it. I don't belong to any club either but I just want to keep track to see how long things last before they need it replacement!

I dont suffer from mental iIlness, I actually enjoy mine!

I don't want to know how much I spend on this hobby! No logs, nothing trackable.

I use a log and I like it, It does show how much I spend, but then it keeps track of battery usage and spare part usage. It also lets you see how much the parts go up or down and from which supplier you got it from. Its good to keep track of failures as well.

Good luck
