Bell 47 Decals

After the final flight late yesterday afternoon, we all agreed that the Drab Olive Green was hard for oriantation, Back inside Chopper Jockey produced an old heli mag, and said, you can copy that,
As I enjoy a challenge, and taking money off CJ, these are some of the results

Peter, you don't waste much time! Is there supposed to be an arrow with the "DANGER" signs ?

Mmm

I have seen that heli somewhere before

Your right the danger logo should have a little arrow

And chopper jockey, if you need any parts, don't hesitate to drop me a line.

And stretcher mounts

And a few other odds and ends

Bit more to go, waiting on exhaust back from the ceramic coaters, and aim to paint main mechanics this week.

Cheers

That's much better Peter. Except the diagonal support pillar should pass over the "G" and not the "N"

pass over the "G"

CJ, Just maybe the support pillar is in a different place on the model, Lee had the same problem with his, move the sign and the arrow would be bigger than the script, some people are never happy, unless they are complaining

Very Nice Job Peter, Have a look at my Gallery. A renovated Bell 47 landed at one of our fun flys a few months ago. I took a couple of Pic's. Colin

Hi

I know, always a compromise, you try your best, in my case the decals were overlayed in the image below in Photoshop CS3, tidied up so they were an exact copy. Came to put them on and as you rightly say, if the dimensions on the model aren't the same as the full size the you have no chance of getting them lined up, stretching the decal would look way wrong.

Still have the rest to add so I'll see how they go.
