Motor 430 L esc Castle 35 Amp Medusa 2A BEC

Shortly after lift off and into forward flight, I get a short brownout. Know its not RF noise, or where I fly at, or battery.
Then once it happens for a brief second...I can fly the rest of the
battery and another with no problem. Could a bad one way auto bearing
or hub cause this ????

You think it could be static?

What radio system are you using. Had similar issues with hitec RX.

Hmmmm.....yeah I guess it could be static. I did put a new belt in and tailcase. That would make sense. Are the maverick belts from
Heliproz any better?

Yes Windowmaker...it is the Hitec Electron 6

Thought so. I dont know how far back you can dig but you will find a history of short cutouts with the 450 and the Electron 6. It may very well be static causing the E6 to do it so spraying your belt may fix it. Mine was fixed by getting rid of the E6 and running a JR770.

I have a similar problem, just before liftoff the motor shuts down (sometimes) but bring the throttle down and backup and it lifts off and flys great from then one. I have an Eagle tree data logger and it shows an excessive current spike and the ESC shuts down. My problem my be in the ESC causing the current spike (40 amps)probably causes the battery voltage to sag and the ESC thinks it's below discharge point so shuts down until I cycle the throttle to off.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

Well, it happened before with a Berg 7 Channel receiver also. It went away for a while with the Hitec 6 CH, but it seemed like the belts at that time were more flexible or loose. Should I run silicone spray on it with a
Q - Tip ??

I would do a search on static. I was looking at it the other day, you'll be surprised at what they have come up with!

I think I know where it might be discharging. At the tailbelt take off pulley. The servo wires are almost basically touching. I will try and tie them back a bit more.

did you see them use the voltage tester to find the static?

Yeah, I saw that. It will never do it in a hover or a climb out. Only on the first leg of forward flight.

Re : Glitching

Yeah, so the semi final results are in! After 11 days of rain, a
good day of sun and no wind. After I re routed all servo wires
and replaced the lower main bearing . I also re set all my pitch
curves with a pitch guage inside. The collar on top main shaft
was left a hair loose to help rotor one way freewheel more.
First battery was glitch free. Second one got a bump right away
and flew out the rest ok. Landed and did a hover trim check. Tail
was drifting.... Adjusted belt tension, flew two more packs without
any problem.

So, I think there were a few causes 1) overloading pitch 2) noise
pickup from servo leads and 3) tail issues.
