I just had a quick question, I am building Trex600N Pro Is it worth the money on the metal cooling fan then the one that comes with the kit? I have flown the raptors for years and always used the stock cooling fan and I have never had any problems. I have notice alot of the trex's had the metal fan, if it's worth the $20.00 then I will purchase. Thanks in advance for all the help.

Well, at first I used the stock fan that came with the 600n back in july 07, it was very weak and flexed alot, upgraded to the newest plastic heavy duty one and it worked great, the metal fan is a very nice upgrade too, I´d say if you like the idea of a metal fan go for it, just remember to test the balance on them, even if they are factory balanced you should always make sure, my 2 cents.

have a good one.

So the stock fan that comes with the kit will work good, or would it be better with the metal fan?

the early fans had some real problems. But the updated fans seem to be OK, except for throwing gov magnets. For $20, the metal fan is cheap insurance.
