Sounds normal it is vibration from motor . Frames are rigid from frame brace , motor mount and frame so you will notice more vibes at idle . Check to see if motor is pushed up into bell to far you might hear shoe hitting bell .I say the Vibe 50 builds and flies like a 90 so you get some of the 90 characteristics .

I stole it ,flew it and gave it back ;)

What muffler? If its Align take it off and shake it, some are welded better than others.

It could be the starter shaft moving occasionally. Start the bird and put your finger on the starter hex to stop it. See if the noise went away

Hi guys

I had a similar problem.

It was fine for about 10 flights and then started making a strange squeeking noise. The 'arms' on the clutch had flexed up just slightly and were toughing the inside of the clutch bell.

I lowered the motor by 1/2 to 1mm and all is now well.

Regards
Paul

If dont align start shaft and motor correctly you will ware out bearings premature and cause sloppy clutch .

more like clutch is sloppy because of only one bearing block. I think it needs two bearing blocks like all other helicopters.

same noise here, a tinging, clocking kind of noise....comes and goes, I have torn it down twice trying to find something wrong but all checks out ok...too new of a heli to have anything being worn out and causing the problem. No worries.

You have something not aligned . Pull motor out push up on start shaft and push down on start coupler and re tighten . Reinstall motor look at bottom of clutch shoe and line it up with bottom of bell while turning start shaft move motor front , back ,side to side in motor mount until you feel no resistance in shaft. As you tighten motor keep turning shaft to make sure it does not bind .

well, i was able to get out and test after realigning the engine, defintly better, and its definetly coming from the clutch bell area. and as soon as the clutch engages its gone.

im not too worried about it anymore

Just keep in mind so the next time you repair get to bearings and replace them and align motor . This will tighten things up .
