Does anybody know why the blade grips have holes in them that run along side the bearing wells? What were their intention? I know what I used them for but I am curious as to what they were really meant for.

Originally they part of the belt and suspender design of the Pantera head. They were used by a pair of self-tapping Phillips head screws to retain the bearing stack, but we discovered they really weren't necessary and began leaving the screws out of the kits (a penny here, a penny there and before long you can buy a cup of Joe).

Thought so...

I was pretty sure that might be the case but was still curious. I used them to static balance the blade grips in weight. I will say this, if somebody else uses this tip you do have to remove a little bit of the plastic inside of the bearing well to keep the bearing from ovaling and thus becomming notchy. The set screws that I used(3 mm)expanded the plastic alittle. Just grab the dremel and remove about half a mm or so.
