what do i need to do to fly in the XFC or some other competitions.
what are the requirements.

I believe you have to qualify first, and be damn good.

haha thank you for the help im not good enough now but im thinking by next year ill be good enough for amature competitions. i just started flying last December. and I've made a "lot of progress" i can do most 3d maneuvers im working on piro flips and similar things I've got time i was just curious. but thank you for replying so quickly.
also how do you find out stuff about where and when qualification rounds.
and do you need to be sponsored by a helicopter manufacturer

The only "amature" 3D competition held in the US this year, that I know of, was the one held in Vegas, sponsored by Align. It seems no one can be bothered to compete anymore, so consider yourself a rare breed. Most 3D contests are invitational only for the top 20 or so pilots in the world.
