i also went thru this- with every thing off just pull the line off the carb and watch fuel pour out. i had a hell off a time getting mine running-the clamp was the answer for me.

I set the high 1.5 out from closed, I set the low in the middle then a real small turn to the right. It is on a 50 hyper os.

I HATE HYDRO LOCK!

Here's what solved the problem for me:

clamp fuel line on fill up
DO NOT OVERFILL, DO NOT ALLOW FUEL IN VENT LINE OR YOU'VE OVER-FILLED
don't release clamp until the moment you turn it over
when you land, re-clamp, hold blade grip and run excess out of engine

That should solve it for you, best of luck.

The problem was the engine is new. The starter is not strong enough to turn her over. My buddy helped me by removing the glow plug then starting the engine then retigten the plug. So I hope the next time she will crank over a without doing that. Anyway she flew real good very solid flying machine. Rene
