I've just started my first scale project and its a Hirobo 30 size Lama (with electric conversion and three blade head). My question is has anyone had experience stiffening up the dampening on the multi-blade head (MRB-III). The standard dampening is extremely soft and I am installing V-stabi which requires a rigid head to work correctly. I have removed one of the dampeners and will try to match something up at the local hobbyshop but was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction.

Cheers

Some pictures of the build so far...

FYI, the head flies perfectly fine w/o any gyros on the head or other forms of stability augmentation. Just get it up to speed before you move the cyclic around. Keep forward flight smooth and you'll have minimal pitch up tendancies. If you do accelerate, get ready to push a little on the cyclic to stop it from pitching up. Hovering is a clinch.

Ok. I'll give it a fly with soft dampeners and no gyro stabilization first.
