Okay im doing it

Im going CF version.

My setup:

770 gyro
AR7000/DX7
6S battery

And thats where it ends, What tail servo, blades, esc, motor should i use?

And i bought silicone spray to spray the belt will that be sufficient enough?

Is the manual pretty good? Hard build?

I'm running 9257's all around with a 611 gyro and CC HV45 ESC and an 8s setup. I too have the CF version and with over a 100 flight and no static issues. I silicon the belt about every 15 flights.

Tail servo 9257 or 3500G.

Blades are depending what type of flying you will be doing. I have flown the Align carbons, SAB, RCP and they are all good, with the Align probably being the best and the SAB's right behind. The RCP are great cause of the price.

The stock esc and motor has been great to me and many others, plenty o power on 6S with 13T pinion.

Build is easy, manual is good and silicone spray is good every 10 to 15 flights, but many go without spraying without any probs.

500 CF
Stock carbons (until first crash)
JR 770 With 3500
3x 9257's
Stock motor on 13T pinion
Stock esc
DX7
Ar7000

I think it would fair might fine!

Marty, your setup would rock..as long as you don't crash. Those s9257's are awesome servos, but they have plastic gears so they are almost certainly going to strip in a crash. I use Hitec 5245MG servos, they are digital AND metal geared. They work awesome since they are digital, they are more precise and recenter perfectly.

Cheers

Ben

5245 are ok but definitely better alternatives available. Yes its digital, yes its metal gear but its not more precise than the 9257 or 9650 and its travel is not nearly as smooth. The 9650 can be converted to metal gear. Not sure about 9257.

If you can swing it.. Jazz 80 ESC. The Jazz is more efficient, has more consistent power and superior governor than the stock ESC.

Do one of these two things for cyclic.

9650 with MKS 9660 servo metal gear swap.

or the JR Z3650 metal gear servos.

Or, check out the MSK-9660 servo! Similar to the 9650 but with the metal gears from the get go.

Yea, but I'd rather keep Futaba or JR since the distributors are here in case any warranty issues.

Why do you keep asking so much? It is a good deal and I think you probably know it. The lowest I've ever seen a 500 cf with carbon blades is $515. A guy at the field told me he got one on ebay for $469 once from honk kong and that was the cheapest I've heard till now.

Cool.

Because why buy expensive? If i can save 100+ on being patient and finding the lowest price, than boom, free crash i just saved.

Im not cheap, just dont like to waste money. Thought heli pilots would know that buy now :P
