Does a 9253 have to run at exactly 4.8 or can it run at 5.1 or 5.2 continous voltage without hurting it. I Know a fully charged 4.8 is over 4,8 volts with the drop off voltage from the battery it probably doesn't stay above long enough to hurt the servo right?

when Futaba says "4,8v" they mean a 4 cells NiMH or NiCD pack.

Many, many folks flying TREX 600s with a setup that delivers 5.1 to the tail. 9253/4 seem OK with this. No early failures that I've seen.

They are rated for a fully charged 4 cell pack, 5.4 volts or so.

5.8 volts MAXIMUM. I asked the Futaba/Hobby Services folk what the maximum operating voltage of the S9254 should be. That was their response.

I just saw that some voltage reg supply 5.1 or 5.2 volts for gyro and servo I didn't know if prolong 5.2 volts would hurt the 9253/4 servo I guess not as long as its not over 5.8 they will be fine Right?
