Anyone remember where the 611/Synergy setup gouge is located or has the numbers handy. I saved it on my laptop, but I don't have it with me to reference. I think it was a TB recommendation. Thanks.

If you mean the delay settings.....

15 both ways for stick moved (I)
50 both ways for stick returned (D)

Use 3D mode not F3C

That's the rule of thumb anyway.

Hirobo,
Thx, that's part of it. It was a line by line programing of the default of the 611 in the Synergy.

There was a magazine article with Todd's suggested settings:

HiroboFreak's post covered 'em.

I recall Chuckie's gallery (and .doc of tips) having a list of settings as well.

Can anyone help me too?
I have also the 611 on my N9 and whatever i do i cannot have a rock solid tail.I use the 611 with the Dx7 and also i have a small tracking problem.Seems that on hover the tail goes to clockwise turn with no input.
Can anyone have the settings to give them to me?

Thanks
Sotos

All I can give is the standard answer, and it's only slightly helpful:

In "Heading Hold" mode, if a gyro is drifting slowly (which is what it sounds like), you've usually got a vibration problem to resolve.

So possible culprits are an unbalanced tail rotor, main rotors, flybar, clutch, fan. High runout in the fan, clutch, start shart, main rotor shaft, tail rotor shaft, tail drive shaft and mechanism. ie. Anything that rotates.

I've also been told of bearings being the root cause of such problems. (When I looked, I indeed found a damaged bearing & replaced it).

If you have the problem in "rate" (non-heading hold) mode, you want to fix your pushrod lengths so it doesn't pirouette in a steady hover, and then adjust the revo mix to keep it steady at all throttle positions.

Rate mode & Revo mix on a 611?? That's blasphemy!!

Possibly, but there are no doubt heathens and heretics out there who actually use them. Even those wretches deserve some advice in how to abuse their gyros.

And there are the braggarts who like to show how well the 611 does in rate mode compared to other gyros in heading hold...

Pariah you're right about the vibrations but i'm ok from main and tail rotor. What i have is movement to the fuel even at idle and i just don't know why.I change the fan hub with a new one from hyper cause i'm boring of dialing the stock one.I didn't check the fan so maybe in there is problem.I'll take out the fan and balance it and see.
After that i have to say that many friends of mine have some movement to the fuel and have no problem with their tails.
I also have to say that i change the position of the gyro sensor from front to back of the heli, change the tail with the SE one,and change the pair of cy tail blade with a pair of sub.I sure don't have an unbalance main or tail rotor but maybe i have to look closer for the engine vibration...
Mechanically the rods are fine measured by the book..

Hey guys thx one and all. The info I was looking for was bookmarked on my laptop. It was in reference to a RR Synergy post by DougL and Chuckie around 01/07-08/2007. Hirobo, Pariah, and monyet thanks for the references. I was looking for them as well and couldn't remember where.

Now for the next question. I'm setting up my Synergy and the ball links are so hard to work with, I feel like I'm wrestling an alligator. I have a Hyper ball-sizer and all it seems to do is tear the eadges of the opening. I've used a Maverixx ball sizer on Raptor links and they work so quick I have to be careful or I'll over size them. I was told to squeeze the links with a pair of pliers while turning the ball sizer but it does nothing. When I put the ball on the hyper sizer it pops on with some difficulty. I do pop it on the larger size hole on the link. This is the corret way, no?

Any suggestions guys? I can't wait to do my shakedown flight and then kick it.
Thanks again.

What I've done with the Hypersizer:

1.) Put the link on the hypersizer.
2.) Squeeze the sides of the link between pliers while working the hipersizer. (So that all of the force of you squeezing is pushing the plastic into the sizer ball - you don't want to squeeze it the other way, or nothing will happen!) You may need to do some real squeezing...

There are occasionally hypersizers that aren't up to snuff; manufacturing defects do happen in the real world.

But hyperformancerc.com is where you go for such issues. They've given me great customer service in the past, for the exact same issue.

Hyper ball-sizer

pariah,
Can the cut on the sizer be reshaped? Or should I send it in for an exchange? My Maverikk has a screw to adjust it.

monyet I sent a PM to you. I copied the post in question.
