After having six flights on my Vibe 50, thought to write some reviews. Seems a very nice and stable machine and is fun to fly. I did a “Break In” at 1.5 turns from close out and kept on doing rich in between flight, believe it was 3 to four clicks. The break in was done with out carb smart and ran nearly about 3 Tanks which is equivalent to 1.5 liters. After this I planned on using the carb smart with the carburetor and had couple of question towards its settings. As of now my carb smart is set to the following settings:

Max Rich = 2 turns from closeout maybe two clicks more
Max lean = Two click less 1 ¾
Fail safe = it’s between 2 – 1 ¾
Have set the temperature to 100

This is what I’ve on my carb smart as of now. What are you guys have for your settings with carb smart to get performance without damaging the engine. Please write in terms of turns, seems easier understanding.

Do you guys have these fuel burn out on the muffler, is their any way of removing it or keeping it clean… I used a paper tape in between my engine and muffler to avoid leak out, but seems the fuel was burned on the muffler.

Apart this seems an excellent machine and impressive.

Few people out there wanted to know how Align 2 in 1 works with 4 JR 8717/JR 770 with 8900 G. For that I’m using Flight power 3000 RX lipo and give me easily 4 flights and still 1 green light left. That means you can have another fifth flight. All Dean Connectors.

on my muffler i have the odd spot, but a majour one like that would suggest you have some sort of leak. i have 2 gallons through mine and ive only got a handful of tiny specs..

What fuel are you running? Is it something with high amounts of caster oil?

Caster will stain your pipe for sure especially if there is a leak. That is why most of us run full synthetic.

Castor is MESSY!!!! Will help protect motor on a lean run better but not worth the mess in my opinion!

Yep. Better to switch to something full synthetic (KL-198 Heliglow from klotz is 100% synth oil)

To clean the pipe... well, dump it in a croc pot with antifreeze and let it cook at lowest setting for a few hours... will come out like new.

try using mothers alum polish should clean it off and will make it shin better then new.

Here in Pakistan we need to make our own fuel. Is the full synthetic oil, same oil which is used in the car?? Confirm me this, therefore I can proceed with it. Let me know the details...

No. The KL-198 is a specific oil that dissolves in methanol. Car oil doesn't fit our needs I think. You should contact your local Klotz dealer. If you can't find him, contact Klotz USA and ask who the dealer for you country is.

If you find Klotz but not the KL-198, the KL-200 also works well (full synth but has a higher viscosity than 198). You could also use KL-100 but that has 20% castor in it but still better than 100% castor.
