Is there a way you can find out what the headspeed will be with the AR7100R without running a tach on the head?

I'm doing it by sound right now, still at break in of my motor on a Trex 700 but it sounds pretty good set at 70% on the JR 9303.

Seems like when I read the manual some time ago it implied that you could. Have you consulted that first?

I think you are right, so it looks like the 70% value runs the engine at 13,500 or about 1650 headspeed. Geez, I knew it was low cause I'm still breaking the engine in and wanted to keep it down but I am a little surprised it's that low.

Guess I'll have to get a tach to verify.

Due to the way the RevMax works, any headspeed setup calculation will only be an approximation and will have to be tweaked by actually measuring the headspeed. Changing your throttle curve will also require a readjustment. For example, if you go from a V-curve to a 100% flat curve, your headspeed will increase even if the RevMax was active with the V-curve.

I foresee a lot of the RevMax discussions and questions happening all over.
