That's exactly right. Larger travel = faster piro.

Dual rates/expo will be based on your particular heli and how you like it to feel. I don't run any expo but my smallest heli is a 600e.

You know you want a USB or bluethooth interface cable... you just haven't realised it yet

Although the spartans method of configuration is pretty easy and strait forward, there is nothing that compares to having a windows screen in front of you letting you adjust all settings at the tip of a mouse and see the gyro changing in real time as you do

Mouse, Tony? Where do you hook the mouse to your PDA? 'Cuz I'm sure you're using a BlueLink

Hey Tony, is there a way to actually get the gyro config to change in real time? Every time I change something, I have to resend it to the gyro. It makes changing endpoints not very fun but luckily doing that via the stick programming is super easy.

No,that;s why you do the initial setup via your tx.

Yes do need to resend the info but you don't need to reset the gyro.

Just increase the value by 10, send, check, increase value again, send, check... no need to reboot the gyro.

Obviously you could do that inflight but I'm not sure what would happen while the pda was sending the info to the gyro ... I'm dead curious to find out though... hihihi.

Mark: No bluelink for me yet... I'm out of time (read as money) right now. Need to keep my heli account balance in check for eventual crash repairs. Maybe next month or so

hi

yea ,the spartan is pretty nice,,i have the x9303 2.4 radio and i have the travel adjust at 140 %, 0 expo, dual rate at 100% and the arm lenth is 10mm on the 450 with 82% gain in the radio ,, it hold pretty well , piro rate is not super fast,, should i put the travel to 150 or do i need to set the dual rate higher? it is on this flybarless 450

With the D/R at 100%, the gyro is seeing your yaw rate that is set by the endpoints. So, if you want to piro faster, increase the endpoints.
