I want to do an airwolf fusalage. This thing is heavy. So to try and keep the flight time "about the same" as before, i came up with a 4c 2100 lipo. The battery itself is only 50g more than my 3c 2100,(my 3c 2100 i lighter than the stock 1800)

The reason for the 4c 2100 is so i have power on hand, but limit it with the tx. So in theory, i would be using 3c power from a 4c battery, so it wouldnt eat up mah like it would in the 3c.(not haveing to work as hard)

Does that sound correct?????

I could be off in left field on this one ????

First you need to throw away a few stock parts that came on your heli.

Here is what I am running on my scale Blade "400". Let's all be honest, the Blade 400 is a 300 class vehicle.

Motor - Nue 1105 3Y - 2.3mm shaft
Pinion - Align 9T, 2.3mm bore
ESC - Castle Phoenix 45
Gyro - Futaba 401
Servos - Spectrum DSP75 Digital Programmable, head and tail
BEC - Dimension Engineering Sport BEC
Battery - Thunderpower 4S 2200 mah 25C
Fuselage - Align Hugh's 500
Main blades - SAB 320
Tail Blades - Align carbon

The entire tail drive system has been converted to Align metal front pulley, belt and full metal tail.

Setup this way the little Hughs 500 flies like a dream with comfortable 5 min run times executing general sport to mild FAI type flight pattern. MAH burn rate averages 350 mah per min to a low 270 for just easy scale style hovering maneuvers.

Good luck,

David

^^^ you the man.

Yeah i dont have much stock on my not scale model. I just bought one of those bare bones one from fleabay.

I am looking at putting on the trex 5blade setup with the hacker a20 and the cc45.

I am torn between the h500 and the airwolf.(or the other one.(forget the name)

So i was correct about (pretty much) about the 4c.

Any pics of your setup?

Pics

I will post some pics, have not taken any so far.

I would not recommend the Air Wolf fuse. way to heavy, a more difficult build and the retracts are cool but a little complicated for such a little heli. Now in 600 class it's a different story. I chose the 500 fuse because of all the room and much lighter weight. Easy build, tough too and it looks good. You can trick it out with lights too. This is my little heli for flying after work just before or after dark by the time I get home. The best relaxation. Big fun and not complicated.

If I had to do it again I would use a Scorpion motor, cheaper, very good and plenty of power.
